Been out the game for along time now but I was thinking about this and I have

2 Questions

1. How does Pizza and Corn go together?

2. How are you gonna call it Salisbury steak one day then take away the gravy and add a bun and call it a hamburger?

That is all.....

Thanks CATCH17

My school cafeteria served something that resembled meat but really wasn't. I stayed away from it at all costs.

Hey next time I go to a game you bring the beer and ill bring the goulash.

Out of curiosity, how much do kids have to pay these days for a school lunch?

Of course it was a few years ago, but our cafeteria produced outstanding lunches. It was a small rural school and the ladies were good cooks.

Currently, lunches for my 8-year-old are $1.50 and lunches for my 11-year-old are $1.60. The older kids get choices, while the elementary school kids have to eat what they're served.

My sister who goes to Elementary School has to pay $2.25 for lunch, and my sister that goes to High School has to pay $2.35. And the last couple of years, before this years increases, everyone in the school system paid $2.00.

Yeah. Elementary food is junk.

The food at my Jr High was pretty good. They actually sold real food. I miss the Spicy Chicken Sandwich I used to get. :(

Ya... this is one thing I WONT miss about working in the school system. The last school I worked at had a 'salsisbury steak' that was gray in color.... it smelled like dog food, but I sure wouldn't feed it to my dog!!!

well, kids don't care what they eat as long as there are not vegetables unless it was smothered in butter or cheese. I remember the hamburgers and pizzas that weren't so good, but I ate them.

If I have kids and send them to public school, I'll probably let them eat lunch there...so they can appreciate what they get for dinner :p:

That could easily backfire.

All it takes is Meatloaf at the cafeteria and come home to some Hamburger helper with onions in it and kids will get mad, kids will criticise the cooking, then the kids will get a whoopin.

A bad Cafeteria meal plus a mom making a horrible dinner has ruined millions of families evenings since the beginning of time. ;)

i don't serve hamburger helper :)

Rice and Beans

or just rice and...anything :)
