I'd take either one, even over Cundiff if he was healthy. What would you think of picking up what ever one gets cut?

I say stick with Cortez *gulp* as long as he's getting the job done. Something tells me, though, that the kicker we have at the beginning of the year wont be the kicker we have at the end of the year.

At least Cortez kicks the ball into the endzone. That may save us 7 points durind a game by giving the other team bad field position. That makes up for 2 missed kicks a game.

I was looking at a Vikes board(dont remember where) and the Vikes fans are realling hoping that Ellington beats out Edinger.. They aren't happy with Edinger's misses..

sounds like a familar story, though I dont think Cundiff was as bas as some tend to believe..

He had one kick in the endzone and two that where at the 10 yrd line or more one at the 6 one at the gole line and the other at the one.

Some posters are making it out that all his kicks went deep when he had one land around the 15. I'd rather have someone consistantly kick it to the 1-5 than have 2 go deep and the rest end up between the 7-15 yrd line. But that's just me.

Cundiff was excellent from under 40 yards. You really couldn't ask for more there. I haven't really compared kickers' statistics so I could be asking for too much, but I really didn't think he should miss so many 40+ yards FGs.

His kickoffs were only so-so too.

Edinger, please. I was very impressed with him in Chicago and still don't know why he was let go for DOUG BRIEN!!

Because Edinger has sucked it up the past 2 years. I live in Chicago land and Bears fans were happy to see him leave. It tells you how bad he was to have Doug Brien replace him.

I'm really liking Cortez's leg strength. I think he stays around for awhile. Plus, Parcells seems to kinda like the guy.

Fair enough, but he's still got to be better than Cortez. Cortez is truly awful. I'll be very surprised if he's kicking FGs the whole season.
