Cowboys!

1(24) Tyler Linderbaum C Iowa
2(56) Jalen Tolbert WR South Alabama
3(88) DeAngelo Malone DE/OLB Western Kentucky
4(129) Markquese Bell S Florida A&M
5(155) Cade Otton TE Washington
5(167) Terrel Bernard LB Baylor
5(176) Jayden Peevy DL Texas A&M
5(178) Luke Goedeke T Central Michigan
6(193) Cameron Dicker K Texas

Like most of those players.
Did not think Malone was rated for 3rd round though.
Honestly don't know anything about Peevy.

To me Malone is a 3-4 OLB but I like several of the day 3 picks. If the Cowboys could get Otton, Peevy and Goedeke in the 5th round I'd be stoked.

Who's our LG????? or should I say where......

He thinks Linderbaum will play there apparently.

-

The Cowboys must replace guard Connor Williams and provide competition for center Tyler Biadasz. Linderbaum is a hard-nosed run-blocker who can win by cutting off angles and punishing interior defenders with physicality.

He needs to get stronger to improve his anchor as a pass protector, but he's a significant upgrade over what Dallas has at left guard now.

My favorite mock so far. I would be very happy with this haul.

:huh:interesting

SUMMARY: A three-year starter at Iowa, Linderbaum was the starting center in offensive coordinator Brian Ferentz’s outside zone-based scheme. After James Daniels
left early for the NFL following the 2018 season, the Hawkeyes’ coaches asked Linderbaum to move from defensive tackle to center, where he started all 35 games
the past three seasons. He took home the Rimington Award in 2021 as the nation’s top center (first in Iowa history to win the award). A six-sport athlete in high
school, Linderbaum is very quick in his snap and step and shows athletic range, body control and refinement as an on-the-move or reach blocker. Although he doesn’t
have an ideal body type, his wrestling background is clear with his handwork, leverage and killer instinct to win early or reset mid-rep. Overall, Linderbaum is a center-only prospect and will struggle at times in pass protection due to his lack of length, but he is an elite-level run blocker due to his athleticism and grip strength to latch-and-drive. He projects as a longtime NFL starter in a zone-based scheme.

He can rush the passer, and in the 3rd you cant expect to get stars at money positions. If he can play 500 snaps and get 7 sacks, that a win for a 3rd round pass rusher. He was productive in college.

Not your optimal get, but I think you end up with a player

Are we mature enough as a group to handle our kicker being named Cameron Dicker?

We already have a Hooker. This may be pushing it.
If we arent leaving the draft with York, I don't see a point in drafting one. There wont be a drop off between any kicker you'd get in the 7th and a guy you would get as a UDFA

This draft isn't bad. Linderbaum is going to be a good player for a very long time.

There's a few players that could fall in the 3/4 range who have a bit of OL flexibility in Cade Mays, Zach Tom. Either of those guys could see time inside or at center.
