Donovan McNabb not haunted by history
September, 8, 2010 Sep 811:40AM CTEmail Print Comments By Tim MacMahonIRVING, Texas – Donovan McNabb didn’t have much interest in discussing his recent history against the Cowboys during his conference call Wednesday morning.

"That's the past, and this is a new era," McNabb said.

The old era didn’t end well for McNabb, who was a Cowboys killer earlier in his career.

The Eagles won only three of McNabb’s last 10 games against the Cowboys. They went 0-3 last season, including a NFC East title-clinching shutout followed by a playoff loss the next week.

“It's a new year, and you start all over again,” McNabb said. “I think that's probably the plus for all of us, not just for me, but for them as well. I'm sure they're not excited about the way their season ended last year, and obviously I wasn't excited about the way my season ended last year.”

If you take it in it's entirety, the true beauty of the scene unfolds.

First, you have McNabb acting his usual foolish self. Front in center for the world to see. But his cast of characters are the ones who truly showcase McNabb for the tool he is. There's DeSean Jackson following his lead like a little lost puppy dog, hangin on his every action, dying to jump in and emulate him....but just not knowing how to look that stupid. But he's trying, lol. Then there's Vick who is so embarrassed that all he can do is hang his head. That says a lot. While off to the side appears to be the smartest of the bunch who knows whats ahead of him so he quickly adjusts his jock....

The whole time this plays out the great Cowboys' star shines brightly off of their helmets perhaps making the ugly green feathered hats look better than they ever have.
