Convenient that they left out TE as one of the position advantages but talked about how important it is to get the ball to Gonzalez.

They probably include TEs in the WR ranking which makes sense. Some teams use more TEs on the average and have a greater impact on the Receiver position.
The only way to best measure to teams who's use of TE's vary is to rank receivers as a group.

It's almost like trying to compare 3-4 defenses to 4-3. You should just rank the defensive front seven as a group.

What's it matter. Gonzo would get the nod. Bennett has been MIA all season and as good as Witten is, Gonzo is every bit as good if not better and is actually targeted.

For my purposes they didn't do that :D

Is it just me, or is it often easy to see whom an analyst wants to win a particular game they are handi-capping.

Wow, you guys are down on Dallas for losing to two undefeated teams at that time. Plus big hopes for Ryan who hasnt seen the Giants D or Denver and the Falcons hardest game has come aginst the Pats, which they lost.

Oh yeah, who does Norwood scare anyway? Choice being the 3rd string RB, can clearly carry a team and the team has no problem with him starting a game or more.

Come on, stop putting your team down because opinionists feel they know whats best.

And as the previous poster said, notice they left out TE's. Gee I WONDER WHY!!!!

Not really sure about his run comments. We've been pretty good the last few games with our run D.

And they are giving up the 6th worst average in the league at a whopping 4.6 yards a carry.

We should just run over them until they prove they can stop it... But I think we can pass it against them, too.

I'm not sure how either of those are that shocking.

Matt Ryan is having a better season than Romo... that's pretty clear.

I love our running backs, but none of them have ever had a season like Michael Turner had last year. Our guys need to prove themselves and prove that they can stay healthy.

So are we talking about LAST YEAR or THIS YEAR. This year, I'd say our overall running game is better.

Ryan is and will be better than Romo, at best its awash.

But the Cowboy stable of runners, assuming they're healthy, are not matched by the likes of Michael Turner by his lonesome.

So if Romo out passes Ryan Sunday do you change your tune?
No, Romo can have a better day, but Ryan is the best quarterback to be drafted since Peyton Manning.

Convenient of you to whine about this when they do it every week, group the WRs/TEs together.....

Matt Ryan looked like doo doo last week against the Bears and Turner had a great season LAST year. We for sure have the better run game this season, Ill concede Romo hasnt gotten in his groove yet but Id still have to give him the nod.

It's based on this season not last season. Barber is hurt, Felix is hurt, Choice doesn't get enough carries. I'd say the Falcons have the better, more consistent running attack despite our lofty rushing yards.

if you give Atlanta the edge at RB for what they did last year then give the edge to Romo for his past also

Hmm so these "analysts" give Dallas the advantage at the OL and DL's, while giving Atlanta the advantage at the skill positions (QB, RB and WR), but Atlanta wins? I thought football games were won in the trenches?

I'm not sure how you can say this. We're third in the league in rushing, they're 24th. We average 5.9 ypc, they get 3.4. They've fumbled 4 times, we've fumbled once.

Here are our ypc's in 5 games so far: 4.9, 8.7, 6.6, 3.0, 5.8
Here are their ypc's in 5 games so far: 2.5, 4.1, 3.4, 3.7, 3.0

I suppose you could say they're more consistent in that they're almost always mediocre.

Edit: Oh yes, and in four of their five games, their ypc was significantly below the average ypc allowed by the team they were facing. The exception is that they managed 3.7 against SF, who's allowing 3.3

I think running back is very close and, being a homer, I might even give our guys the edge if I was doing the ratings myself.

But I'm not going to act all shocked that outside observers would give the Falcons the edge in both those categories. For multiple reasons including recent history, as well as the current circumstances of recent injuries to Barber and Felix.
