Two years ago, five of the nine stalled the drive. And in 2007, only one of nine did. So that's eight out of 24 in the past three years that "killed momentum."
By the way, the NFL average over the past two years was 43.8 percent of all false starts stalling the drive (9.33 out of 24.44 per team per year). For us as a team, it was only 34.9 percent over the past three years (9.67 out of 27.67 per year). And last year, it was only 26.9 percent (7 out of 26).

I remember telling a friend we finished the Bears "potential mini run" before it could even get going. We beat them bad. Really bad. On Sunday night TV. They STILL have not recovered from how bad we beat them. Many key figures to their Super Bowl run have been cut, traded, hurt etc....but they had a lot of buzz going into that game....and 60 mins later there was dead silence.SaltwaterServr;3446013 said:There wasn't a single time in that season where you thought he couldn't convert the third down. I remember that game against the Bears. I had an employee that was a HUGE Bears fan and knew beyond anything that they were headed back to the Super Bowl.
I forget which quarter it is, but we're backed up pretty deep. Might have been 3rd and 17 inside our own 10. I tell him the great thing about our team, we can convert almost any down and distance. Patrick Crayton on the right sidelines, first down.
The end of that game ended his hopes.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are meeting with free agent tackle Flozell Adams today, moving quickly after losing Willie Colon to a torn Achilles tendon.
Adams was at the Steelers' practice facility today for a workout and a physical and could be the player the Steelers sign to replace Colon.
The 35-year-old Adams is a five-time Pro Bowler who started all 16 games for the Cowboys last season, but Dallas decided to release him in April rather than pay him a $2.5 million roster bonus and the $5 million salary he was scheduled to make.
Colon started all 16 games for the Steelers in 2009 but will miss all of 2010.

Maybe you're thinking of the third-and-11 we had from our own 8 in the third quarter with the game tied 10-10. Romo completed a 35-yard pass deep over the middle to Owens, and we went on to score a touchdown for a 17-10 lead. We ended up winning 34-10.
I was gonna say...Hoofbite;3446321 said:A more interesting thread title would be:
