By STAFF AND WIRE REPORTS

Terrell Owens' agent, Drew Rosenhaus told ESPN Tuesday that the free agent wide reciever wants to play for the Washington Commanders this season. Rosenhaus said he had reached out to Washington Commanders officials about the possibility, but declined to comment on the team's interest in Owens.

Rosenhaus said Owens had the support of Commanders quarterback Donovan McNabb and "would be welcomed" by other veterans on the roster, including Clinton Portis and Santana Moss. Rosenhaus said Owens would love to play against his former NFC East teams, the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Owens and McNabb had a contentious -- but productive -- season together in 2004 that culminated in a Super Bowl run.

The two reportedly mended some fences while filming a reality show together during this off-season.

ESPN also reported that Coach Mike Shanahan dismissed the Terrell Owens talk.

He wants to go whereever he'll get paid . . .

See Buffalo 2009 for evidence.

He stunk it up there, too. Poor guy has lost a step or two. :laugh1:

Commanders fans are going to be forced to root for people they have hated and have talked bad about for years.

now they are going to talk them up and act like they are better than everyone elses players!

I honestly HOPE this happens. Here is where the Skins are going to have a MAJOR problem.....all 3 RBs will feel as if they SHOULD be the guy....and before it is all said and done there WILL be a RB contreversy. Moss, Owens, and the young pups are ALL going to fight for the spotlight....and when it is all said and done they WILL have a WR contreversy. BOTH TEs will feel as if they deserve the ball...and before it is all said and done they WILL have a TE contreversy. And on top of it all...NONE of them are the players they used to be...but ALL of them will feel like they are. And with Donavan only having 3 seconds to get rid of the ball...frustration will set in on EVERYONE on offense. Of course this will not show up against inferior competition....but I love the fact the Commanders are making the kind of moves that ENSURES we start playing them as HARD as they play us.

If McNabb was serious about this Washington thing he wouldn't be asking for TO to come to Washington.

All he wants is pub at this point in his career.

Oh no didn't you hear? Last year is the only exception to the rule when it comes to TO. Everywhere else TO went he made average QBs more than average but last year he couldn't do that but it had nothing to do with him not being as good anymore. It's all the fact that Trent Edwards just wasn't good enough. It's the one and only time, according to a couple TO fans here, that TO didn't make an average QB more than average.

Nevermind the fact that while he was failing to make Trent more than an average QB that Romo was here still putting up big time numbers, a fact that also disproved this theory that TO made him more than average.

Apparently TO is the only player in the history of the NFL that simply doesn't have to worry about slowing down, and losing some skill, with age.

One of my all time favorites. First thing I thought of when I saw the title.
