Cash for sacks? Sex for stud recruits? Big-money handshakes from strangers?

http://network.yardbarker.com/all_s..._players_claim_systematic_pay_to_play/4468924 For more detailed transcripts, including Auburn's response, visit Sports by Brooks.

It's all a part of college football's pay-for-play system, according to several former Auburn players who are dishing the dirt on HBO's "Real Sports With Bryant Gumbel" (Wed., 10 p.m. ET).
Stanley McClover, Troy Reddick, Chaz Ramsey and Raven Gray tell Andrea Kremer of being paid by both boosters and coaches, according to reports of the transcripts
McClover said the payments started during the recruiting process, and even included sexual favors, which he received during a visit to Ohio State. "We went to a party and they asked me to pick any girl I wanted," he says.

•On what caused McClover to sign with Auburn over Ohio State:
Kremer voiceover: “McClover says what he asked for was money. A lot of it. And that he got it. Delivered in a bookbag, exact amount unknown.”
Kremer to McClover: “You opened it up, what are you thinking?”
McClover: “I almost passed out. I literally almost passed out I couldn’t believe it was true. I felt like I owed them.”
Kremer to McClover: “You felt obligated to them (Auburn)?”

If this doesn't get Auburn nailed, and nailed almost up to the point of SMU, then the NCAA is a bigger joke than I give it credit for being.

This topic was discussed on Mike and Mike yesterday morning at length. They made it sound like it was a national problem with some players getting into a bidding war between schools. The kind of stuff everyone suspected happened anyway but no one has really come forward. It sounded bad. The question is what (if anything) will the NCAA do about it?

EVERY successful program cheats... bottom line...

I do tire of these players getting off scott free though. They are as guilty as the schools that pay them...

They have a long way to go before approaching the same level as SMU. SMU got caught, warned and punished a couple times and just kept right on doing it. I don't Auburn has technically been caught or punished for doing anything thus far.

Well it looks like LSU and Texas A&M could be in a little bit of trouble as well.

It is a national problem and it's not just Football. The problem is probably worse with Basketball. I watched an HBO deal on it. It's really nothing more then a business. The only way this thing will get settled is when it costs money and I mean real money for these institutions or the NCAA. The Ed O'Bannon trial will be a big deal where this is concerned.

Thats it. Lets start a draft for college out of high school! :D

Obviously that wouldn't work since kids have the right to go to any school they want. (if accepted of course)

Obviously, the thing to do is completely cripple any school that is caught doing this. No football for 5 years, no bowls or conference championships for 10. Doesn't matter if the school itself knew about it or not. Guilty by association. These guys are paying so their school can win, if they can't even play then the punishment works for all evolved.

Rule with an iron fist! :)
