TO got a moderate High ankle sprain on dec 22 against Carolina and played Jan 13 against Giants. Now granted he didnt play that well he played in less then a month. Dez has 6 weeks before a game thats double time. Also Dez probably wasnt going to start anyway.Just an example.Hopefully this calms a few peeps.:)

Mods please kill this i reposted in fan zone. thanks.

I think it sucks that he's hurt but I'm not up in arms about it. There is plenty of time before the games start to count so I figured he'd be back in time to help when it matters most anyway.

I hate the idea that he's hurt. Working on time with Romo is key, but I guess he'll still get work in doing film study and learning the playbook

Also, since he is young, maybe he will recover from the injury sooner?

What is the age of this kid... 21? God, it's good to be young because you heal sooooooooooo quickly. My daughter is 14 and plays select football... aka, soccer to you dummies. Please indulge my bragging for a moment. She plays in division 1. The best of the best in the North Texas region. She's really good and tough as nails... I wouldn't pick a fight with her. She suffered the dreaded "high ankle" sprain during training camp a couple of weeks ago. Had x-rays taken and no break but ligament damage. Just like Dez. It was swollen and bruised. The doc placed her in the "boot" and we would ice it down at night. The boot came off in two weeks and she was back to limited workouts. She is now practicing with her team wearing an ankle support that is laced up to support the ankle. She got her ankle stepped on at practice the other day and had to go to the bench for awhile. She soon returned. My point is this. These kids heal pretty quickly. If Dez does not return for the fourth or final pre-season game, I will be surprised. He also receives around the clock treatment that my kid didn't get.

lets not forget that TO was a super-human healer with his hyperbaric chamber and stuff. I 'd be careful using his absurd healing factor as a comparison for recovering from injury, even if dez is really young.

This is the guy that recovered from a fracture below his knee, a sprained deltoid ligament, and what a doctor called a "tremendous amount of damage" to the ankle." in 6 weeks to play in a superbowl and outperformed his quarterback.

Every time he was injured you knew he was coming back before the earliest expectation

These things happen the bright side it could have been worse. I'm very optimistic that when Dez does get back out there he will be ready go, if you noticed it did not take him long at all to impress people at the get go. I figure if Crabtree could miss all the time he did and come back and make an impact so to can Dez. Main thing is for him to be 100% before he gets back out there after all he is the long term future not some 1 year fix

Props to your daughter, but she's not playing at an NFL level. If Dez were 14 and playing Division I pee-wee league, I wouldn't worry too much about the high ankle sprain either.

But he's an NFL WR. There's a big difference.
