If you have been a Cowboys fan since the Tom Landy and Jimmy Johnson Era. Something about those SB teams you know they were champions the minute the walked on the field. This is not to be negative about the current team. It wouldn't be fair after one loss. I'm just saying, are the exceptions too high for this team.

Jimmy's boys ? No I didn't 1-15 I didn't know if they ever Be good then the 7-9 team gave me hope The next year we got pummeled by the Lions and then we were ready. Tom's teams were dubbed next years champs by the media.

So no, the expectations are that they play up to their capabilities, Coach competency and let the chips fall where they may

Our championship teams never embarrassed themselves against a team that was considered the worst team in the league. Arizona was last in most of the power rankings before yesterday. The Cowboys were favored by two TDs but ended up losing by two TDs. I get accused of never being positive enough about the team. What happened yesterday is a great example of the reason why.

The goal of the Cowboys each season should be to win another super bowl. That is the standard in Dallas. Right or wrong doesn't matter. Because that's just the way it is. Lowering those expectations is accepting mediocrity. That is unacceptable.
This is how it should be. Except in Jerry's mind he just wants to be relevant and interesting, and some fans have bought on to that mindset.

I had this team going 9-8 this year.

My exceptions remain this way until proven otherwise.

We all know how this season ends.

Expectations were lowered the moment Diggs went down. They were lowered even further the moment 3 pro bowl lineman went down.

Yes and no. Lots of exaggerations by you here. And you leave out a key fact that we lost 4 pro bowlers last week that didnt play.

I rewatched the game and Im not as down as I was right after the game. The defense was the big issue and that is fixable. Not that they will ever be #1 like they were before Diggs went down.

I don't know who is doing those power rankings but the Cardinals are easily better than the Bears, Broncos, and Jets.

The 1992 Cowboys lost to the 6-10 Rams, the 1993 team lost to the 6-10 Falcons, and in 1995 Dallas lost to 6-10 Washington - twice.

I don't think the 2023 Cowboys are as good as those teams, but even they had a stinker or two.

The Cardinals power ranking was obviously based on their 4-12 season last year and the fact they’re stuck with a journeyman QB who only arrived a month ago. No doubt their power ranking will go up after yesterday‘s performance. As for the teams the 92, 93 and 95 Cowboys lost to, I don’t remember them looking as bad to those teams as they did yesterday to Arizona. We were dominated yesterday from start to finish. We gave up 181 rushing yards in the first half, the most since the 91 season. I would have to check but I don’t remember any of those great 90s teams losing a game where they were a two TD favorite. No team all season has been favored by two TDs except for the Cowboys and they ended up losing by two TDs. There was at least one power ranking that had the Cowboys number one and the Cardinals number 32. That game yesterday will go down as one of the all-time embarrassments for the Cowboys.

Right now on the Cardinals may move ahead of them in some of those power rankings. However, those teams have more viable QBs than the one we faced yesterday except for maybe Zach Wilson. It’s beyond me how the Cowboys continue to make journeyman QBs look great. Dobbs had a 120.0 passer rating yesterday and he lit us up with a big 40 plus yard run on the Cardinals first drive that set the tone for the game.

No this in one of the best teams in the nfl that had a week full of injuries that happened during the week. I'm sure each one affected the prep work as each one happened. Can only imagine the last minute shuffling and late nights the coaches had.

The team has put one of the best teams on the field in the nfl for awhile now. At some point people gotta stop blaming Jerry. He's given us some great teams. The team has just gotten beat in the playoffs, just like every team except 1 every yr.

Of course the refs haven't done them any favors either. Dez catch and the David Irving hold not called have been huge calls. The Irving call literally costed them the game and a trip to the nfc championship game
