So when Derrick Rose was declared ineligible we forfeited an entire but he only has to sit out the tournament.......right......that's fair

He's a good rebounder. The zone defense makes it harder for the defense to rebound because you're not right on a guy to box out and the offense can crash the boards. Plus, if you watch SU like I do and see that their defense shuts down opponents, there's a lot of bricks being thrown up.
He's not Derrick Coleman when it comes to rebounding, but that's a big attribute he has.
His problem is he's not mature enough to play in the NBA right now. Even if he was the world's greatest rebounder and had Kevin McHale post moves.
That and he still needs to get in better shape. While he's in far better condition, he still needs to be able to do it for the full 48 minutes, game after game.
I think he's gone anyway. I think that's why we got Dajuan Coleman and hopefully Nerlens Noel.

We don't know what the eligibility issue is.
He may have failed a school-mandated drug test and the school may have deemed him ineligible.
Big difference.

I don't think he's a highly rated prospect, *yet*, because he's from Brazil and he was woefully out of shape last year. He was a McDonald's All-American.
I think he would easily go in the 1st round of the draft, if not in the top-15. But, I think he'll be a bust because I don't think he can handle the NBA lifestyle right now.
