Doesnt it feel that Fabini is a Ryan Young signee. We signed him to take over the rt pos. as the same for ryan young ( a parcells guy who is old) and then he went down causing OL problems. I hope we do keep L.Allen so then we dont lose our whole OL. It just seems so much familiar between the 2 singings

nothing alike Young had knee issues, Fabini has been a warrior starting 114 games

I've been told Larry's plan is to retire after this season anyway. Unless we have plans to use his cap space, I would be all for keeping him around and seeing if he can earn a starting spot. I'd hate to cut him, then find out Kosier's not that great and that we suddenly lack depth along the offensive line.

Of course, Larry may not want to 'earn' a spot. Who knows.

I remember you told me last year that he wasn't going past 2006. I hope he retires in our gear. I hate the thought of him in other colors.

If he went to another team he probably would have a cup of coffee like Big E in Baltimore.

I hope LA stays this season. The last thing we need is less depth at O line.

I guess by that logic we should just forfeit our 2nd round pick from now on.

I'm sick of people saying Fabini is old, he's not that old. He's 31 right now and will be 32 for 2006 season, 33 for 2007 season and 34 for the 2008 season if he hangs around for the duration of his contract. He'll be fine.

Ryan Young had a degenerative knee problem, nothing like Fabini who tore a chest muscle.

I realize its human nature to try and rationalize things by saying things like Player A = Player B, but that doesnt mean it makes a lick of sense.

Fabini and Young both play tackle and both played for the Jets. The similarities stop there.
