According to the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, the Lions contacted the 49ers to gauge interest in Roy Williams.
San Francisco reportedly turned them down, but this shows that the Lions are actively pursuing a trade and may ultimately back down from their asking price of a first-round pick. The NFL trading period ends at 4PM Tuesday.

Now to clear some things up!
1. Flo is going no where. He just signed a huge contract and is probably our best linemen.
2. We are not trading for Kitna! We just got Brooks and we don't need Kitna... He is not better then any of our current QB's.
3. We will not give up anything more then a 2nd. Roy wants to be here and in order for the Lions to even get a 2nd or 3rd for Roy he will have to agree to a new contract with the team trading for him. That limits their options. They can't be to picky with what they get in return.
