I am a Tolkien fanatic but I'm sure Peter Jackson will butcher this like he did the movies.
Is he doing this production?

I thought he did a good job on LotR but then he got more budget for The Hobbit and CGI'd it to death. He turned Smaug into a cartoon character. Tolkien's descendants signed off on LotR but I never saw anything about The Hobbit.

Have you seen Tolkien on HBO? It is really interesting to see where Middle Earth originated in his imagination and what images influenced that.

The one absolute about Hollywood is that they will wring the very last cent from any successful movie or series of movies.

How many Halloween movies were there? you look at the top box office movies and how many of them are sequels or part of a series of movies. Stand alone great movies? not all that common is there.

And the simple fact is this:
Of the top 20 all time grossing Hollywood movies only two (Avatar and Titanic) are not sequels, part of a movie series, or part of a franchise (Disney)

Avatar is planning more than one sequel, and Titanic...well, there a good reason there's no sequel, which I'm sure is why you chose that one. ;)

Actually one could argue there was a prequel sequel in Raise The Titanic.

Cameron is planning a Titanic sequel. Jack was rescued by Aquaman and will be appearing in Titanic II, Aquaman Gets Jacked.

well if you are going to act like a child go get a lollipop and suck on it.
Really? If you actually think those two movies are related in any way, you deserve all the ridicule you get.

Both about the same ship, and you are the only one wetting your pants about it. Suck on it.
