Yes, this will be another post where my fellow Cowboys fans will mock and rip me. That is fine, use to the attacks.
Now, do players want to win games? Of course they do. No player from PopWarner to NFL wants to play the game to lose.
And yes, their are unlimited players that play their "guts" out to win games and want to become a champion.
When a players stats are flashed on the screen, I say, "I do not care" Why? Sure I like when a Cowboy player succeeds but a fans success is different than a players success. Read that again: Fans success is DIFFERENT than a players success
La'el Collins is back with the Dallas Cowboys and he is quoted to be "thrilled" to be back and didn't want to leave. But he did. Now, did he leave on his own or was it a mutual with the Cowboys? Either way, Collins said he will do anything to get the Cowboys to win. Funny, NOW he will do anything but before he didn't and left Dallas to Cincy.
Collins could have taken less ( ie: doing anything) to help Dallas win but he wanted his money.
Now, I am not going to bash any player for wanting and going after the GOLDEN POT of money. I would also. Set up your family and future up because your career is short in the NFL. IF players are smart, they can retire COMFORTABLY after their career and never work again.
So that takes me to the topic at hand. Players want the $$$$ far more than winning. Again, yes they want to win and having both is awesome. But if a player can make that GOLDEN POT at Carolina Panthers, who finished 2-16 and the worst NFL team, then fine, because their future is still set. ( Side note: Panthers never held the lead, in the 4th Q the entire season)
Fan, which is short for FANATIC, which is what we all are, want to see our Dallas Cowboys WIN games. Been 27 years since we have seen this happen. Many can say they NEVER seen our team win a Superbowl. I am happy to say, I have seen Dallas win 4 Superbowls ( '77, '92, 93 and '95) too young when they won in '71.
Player will hold their teams in hostage demanding the MOST cash they can get. Will not report, come to camp, practice, play any games unless they get what they want. Again, we get it but the fans only benefit is to see players play.
Players getting their GOLDEN POT doesn't pay our bills and could cost teams wins from their demands. Yes, owners can also block, low ball, etc..... to get more "bang for their bucks" --- so the fans are usually an after thought in the "BANK TUG-O-WAR"
Fans want wins, players want $$$ ~~~~ OK-rip/mock away.
