the upside is there for fakes but I hope he can survive this. I’d hate to see him take on a bigger dude with a full head of steam

i trust that Fassel knows best

Deuce has been avoiding bigger predators his entire career, if he does the same at this level then Deuce is going to sell a lot of Jerseys.

First - What do you expect any of these coaches to say? Have you EVER heard a coach come out and say... "Well this guy really can't do anything, but since hes here practicing with us for whatever reason, I need to find something for him to do."

Second - The hype for this guy is off the charts insane. Have we or anyone, ever had a thread about the stand out super secret threat of the punt personal protector? So now, with this amazing weapon, we are going to fake punt two or three times a game?

Third - The hype for... well to add to the hype train. A video of Duece running the ball in a non contact drill, where he most likely is stopped for no gain, has the interwebs proclaiming him unstoppable. Wowzer.

Fourth - Duece will not be returning punts for us. End of story. No way Turpin is replaced by this guy.

Fifth - There is clearly a media bias for Vaughn. Not sure if its an underdog thing. A small man complex thing. An access thing. Or what. Im sure Jones, Davis, Dowdle and Luepke have taken notice. These guys are NOT about to hand anything over. Which is good. Competition is good. But this over hyping could lead to some tension in the locker room. Every player knows who Vaughns dad is.

Sixth - Don't sleep on Hunter being that third back. With Schoon hurt, the team may be forced to keep a fourth, true TE. Luepke is a tremendous athlete. I read an article about him that I'll try and find. Dude was a state champ in wrestling, twice. 1st at 195, second at 225. He has academic awards. He was an All conference 100 meter sprinter. And he's 235lbs. Backup RB is between Jones and Davis. The loser may be out with that 3rd spot going to Hunter.
