I was listening to a local radio station this morning (104.1 The Edge). They were talking about how employees of fast food chains trade their food with other fast food restaurants.

For example: A Sonic employee brought bags of Sonic Burgers to a Pizza Hut and traded for Pizzas.

I'm wondering if any of you have had experience doing that, please share!! :D

When I worked in the food court of a mall I used to trade bean burritos for movie passes.

When I was at Blimpie, I worked next door to Popeye's and across the street from Burger King and Taco Bell.

We traded employee discounts if we came over during our break and had on our uniforms. Also, we swapped drink options. Like Blimpie had Pepsi products, and say Popeye's had Coke products.

This wasn't a sanctioned practice by mgmt, but employees knew who would do what. We all worked the night shift.

I work in the mall, I get free food from the food court employees all the time.

My girlfriend's Starbucks was right next to a Five Guys and they used to trader burgers/fries for coffee/frappacinos. Was pretty neat.

I worked at Domino's years ago and we traded with Subway, Baskin Robbins, Boston Market.

i worked at 7-11 and traded sandwiches and donuts to the pizza hut next door and the taco bell across the street.

it isn't just fast food, I worked at carinos and we traded with chilis across the street and logans roadhouse down the road. the difference is the fast food places were done without manager approval on both sides, just an employee to employee arrangement, at the dine in places it was done with manager approval on both sides

i live on the east coast, if anyone wants to trade high fives for in-n-out burger i'd be interested.

30+ years ago when I was in high school we used to to it. I worked in a chicken place and we traded with Dairy Queen and Wendy's on an almost daily basis. Didn't seem to realize it was the owner's money we were using to feed ourselves.

Heck, fast forward to six years ago when I worked part time in a pizza joint we did the same thing, and of course the owner picked up the tab for it without his approval.

That's about all I'd pay for one of their burgers

My brother used to manage restaurants. (real ones, not fast food) He used to trade crap all the time. Other restaurants, Starbucks, etc. He traded with everyone.
