Hopefully just a bruise/ sprain. He did walk off the field on his own power so there's that.....

It’s not an ACL based on the injury mechanism. Best case is a sprain of the MCL or simple bruising of the proximal fibula. Worst case is a complete MCL tear or proximal fibula fracture.

Being able to walk isn't a sign that it's not serious.

My brother tore his ACL playing soccer and he was able to walk/limp to the locker room on his own.

Hope TWOK's assessment is accurate.

I saw a slight pivot shift with valgus stress so I’m not ruling out ACL just yet. Hopefully just MCL.

Nothing official. I assume the doctors can get a good hunch tonight with testing tomorrow

Somewhat encouraging. But the MRI tells the story. Hopefully a good one.
True.....it's strange how knee injuries can look bad, but not be (Love). Or, you see a player walk off under his own power and it be an ACL.
