Beebee will be a reliable starter here for a long time.

Not sure if he has an all pro ceiling, but that doesn’t matter. Offensive line is more about unit cohesion than independent stars.

He seems to be figuring out some things about NFL play speed. Even though this has been a frustrating lost season, some young players have really leveled up and gotten a ton of valuable snaps.

This is the same dude that blew those two stud DT’s off the ball from UT last season while in college. It’s amazing he lasted until the 3rd.
He lasted until the 3rd because there were concerns about how heavy he was. His body fat % was allegedly pretty anomalously high even for an NFL offensive lineman. He could ball, but NFL scouts like guys that look like Hercules.

He seems to be slimming down in a good way and it’s made him even more mobile which bodes very well for what he can do after a full NFL offseason program or two.

I really like this player. Now, his draft mate that we got in the 1st? I’m not as optimistic.

Nice to see him hold up well against elite DTs like Vea and Lawrence. That is where Biadasz struggled most.

Let’s be real though. We all knew Beebe was going to be a 10+ year starter and future pro bowler. Just did not think it would be at center.

I don't think people *knew* that at all. Many *believed* it, but I'm sorry, they just didn't *know* this.

If you're counting on a 10+year starter and future pro bowler out of a 3rd round pick, you're saying you're just a better player evaluator than *all* the professionals. You're not, and other people who thought they "knew" this aren't either.

We liked our guy and saw legitimate potential in him, but that's a lot different than *knowing* he's going to be a future pro bowler.

ha ha!

Well, I am like that. I can state things rather forcefully. Didn't mean anything malevolent by it. Just thought too many people were counting our chickens before they hatched with Beebe in the offseason. He seems to be panning out, and that's great.

He's got a point. Beebe looks very good here, and that's with a lot of snaps vs. Vita Vea.

If only we could hit on DTs like we hit on olinemen.

Cooper Beebe's potential was apparent before Dallas handed in the card to get him in the draft. The draft is a crapshoot. The front office (and Jones) must keep hitting on guys like Beebe at EVERY position IF they continue lowering free agency's importance for filling holes and depth. That would be a HUGE task for any FO to pull off year-to-year.

And there is the biggest difference between Beebe and Hoffman. The ability to handle the best. Hoffman is tough and scrappy but when faced with the best he gets owned. You can win with guys like Hoffman but not win it all. I love his nature and his want to, but there was a reason he was a UDFA.

His future is bright. Going up against Vea is a nightmare. Beebe should be a core interior lineman for a long time. Hoffman looks to either be a starter or a really nice backup too. His attitude is what we need. It would be great if Hoffman can be a starting center or guard for this team. We need to develop more guys like that.

He was the only Kansas State offensive linemen holding his own in that game. Sweat and Murphy still had huge days.

Who do you think has more upside Bass or Hoffman? One of them is going to need to be a starter next year. I don't know if we take OL in the first round and I hope we don't take a RB.
