I had to rewind when watching the game when Smith went downfield on the pollard run and took out three Giants.

Peters is so smart and technique sound. He knows all the tricks.
Tyler has to be one of most physically punishing blockers in space in NFL. When he pulls, amazing things happen.
And while Cowboys have THE best run blocking left side in Tyler + Peters, if Cowboys flip Tyler and Peters Cowboys will also have one of the better left sides in pass pro as well.

Good film review but I disagree with the statement he made near the end about the tight-end. The tight-end is expected to wall-off the defender, not drive him back.
On that play, Peters was supposed drive back his defender but he tried to run forward and wall-off at 90 degrees like he did with the first Pollard run.
However, on the first Pollard run with Peters in it was Tyler Smith who was blocking the defender to the left, not a tight-end, and Smith being a tackle was capable of driving him back.
On that play, because the tight-end was blocking out, Peters should have just driven straight ahead on the Giants player and let Pollard navigate the lane and shift outside.
To be clear, that's not a criticism of Peters because he has not had a lot of time to prepare in the Cowboys' offense, especially at guard. It is a play that I am sure he will get right as he gets more snaps.

How many snaps did Peters play? Why did he come out of the game?

I found the answer to my own question. He played 14 snaps. He wanted to play more but they wanted to ease in his snap counts. He should play more snaps next week.

As excited as we are with Tyler's progress let's not get ahead of ourselves. The best OL is still Zack Martin.
And right side with Zack + Steele is still more balanced and much more efficient side because they are able to run block AND pass block at elite level.

I will try later. Really sick right now. Been nonstop dizzy, nauseous and downright miserable for 3 weeks now. Even ended up in the ER 2 weeks ago. In the process of seeing specialists, but due to today's covid era, everything takes weeks to months to be seen and tested. Just hard to focus and function right now.
