I still want Kancey but I believe he will gone in the teens. I am learning to live with it.

26. O. Torrence OG Must address LG and if you don't do it early it could get Dicey.

58. K. Benton DT In my opinion this is the 2nd largest need on the team. I think he could play both tackle spots and would mix in well with our current players.

90. T. Kraft TE I think he is far more athletic than Mayer and is equally proficient in blocking and receiving. He could end up being the best TE in the class.

129. R. Johnson RB The perfect compliment to Pollard. Not a ton of wear and tear on his body. Fresh legs and all around back.

169 J. Bennett CB High upside CB that could contribute right away and be an eventual Starter.

212 M. Mapu LB LB depth and special teams. He is an exciting player, quick and physical

269 C. Ryland K They might try to get him as a UDFA but other teams will want him too. Why not just draft him.

I know some will be upset that I didn't draft a WR. I think it would be a luxury and if they truly want another there will be an opportunity to add another following final cut downs. This draft would be a home run. IMO!

If we are waiting until pick 90 to address TE, we might as well roll with who we have on the roster. Right now, we have 3 TEs and pick 90 doesn't upgrade any of them.

Good point! 3rd rd and later TE's are useless. History proves you right and Tucker Kraft sucks. Thanks for your well informed opinion.

I really like how you strengthen the trenches on both sides. And I don’t have a problem using that last pick on a good kicker.

Very safe, solid draft.

However, minimal improvement and the team probably ends up 2nd place in the NFC East and an early exit from the playoffs.

Damn. Why did you do this to the team you claim to love, @Killerinstinct?
LOL! I guess solidifying the OL, improving both DT spots, adding the perfect compliment to Pollard in the backfield, adding the most complete TE in the draft, adding a stud at CB, a dynamic special teams player and depth at LB and even adding a 7th rounder that will not only make the team but be your starting kicker just isn't enough.

Should of added a 5 foot 9 wide receiver or an Edge that will watch from the sidelines or maybe a 6 R.A.S. TE like Mayer.

I like it, my preference would be to trade back into the 30s and take Avila plus picking up another pick in the 80-100s range but if there's no trade down partner this is good. Could get another developmental WR with an extra pick from the trade down.

I’d be ok with this. Not a grand slam (vs my ideal dream scenario lol) but it covers what’s needed very well.

Defining Kraft as the most complete TE may be a little subjective, and labeling Bennett a stud (workout warrior for sure) could be a little hopeful. But, neither one has to step on the field and be a world-beater immediately, and they both certainly have traits that translate well to the NFL. I'd like to think that both could be very good contributors in the mid-term if not early in the season. 169 is definitely good value for Bennett.

Besides that, can't argue with what you did on the interior. I'm a little more of an Avila guy, but I think it's a style preference and both can excel in the league.

I like Johnson more than most so I'm onboard with you, and it would be interesting to see what Quinn could do with a guy like Mapu. And if you're going to go kicker, make it a good one.

I would hope fans would be pretty pleased with that draft haul.

I think if Kraft had gone to Notre Dame and Mayer had gone to South Dakota Kraft would be the no 1 ranked TE in the draft and no one would know who Mayer is. HAHA

Kraft is the only TE I have seen used the way he was. Hell they even threw him screen passes just to try to get the ball in his hands. It was unfortunate that he was injured but it could work to our advantage if he is there in the 3rd.

Bennett looks to me like a very solid prospect and some Dan Quinn magic might bring out his full potential.

I would be on board with the trade down and taking Avila while adding an extra pick. I just tend to not project trade downs as it is hard to determine whether or not you could find a trade partner.

I like it. I would take Miller or Isreal over Johnson, however.

I like Laporta the TE from Pitt.

Solid safe draft that should keep complaining to a minimum but doesn’t generate any excitement going into the offseason nor pushes us ahead of Philly.

Already been reported that this years oline class is being viewed as one of the worst of all time and the handful of good ones with 1st round grades probably go late 1st or on day 2 in last years draft. If O. Torrence last to our pick, I’m selling him to the highest bidder and collecting day 2 and early day 3 picks. That’s where the bulk of talent of this draft is. I don’t think Torrence is leaps and bounds better then the day 2 linemen.

Not my choices, but I can see, and respect your thought process. (Not a home-run draft, though)
