It appears only an Alpha version of Opera 11 is faster than FF4 beta 7 in JavaScript rendering now. What FF has been doing not only on the Javascript side, but hardware rendering has been quite impressive. They don't appear to be finished either as they expect at least three more beta releases before the end of the year.

I currently use FF4 beta. (upgrade to beta 7 last night) It is head and shoulders above the current Firefox 3.x versions.

I am running FF4b7 and it is surely as speedy as advertised. Granted I have not bench marked it, I do notice an improvement in loading times.

Is this like how fast websites load? Cause I can't even blink faster than sites load now.. and I'm on FF3.6

I donno what "faster" would be good for at this point.

Not that I'm against getting it, as I love firefox a lot more than any of the others.

I love my google chrome right now. The startup time is wayyy shorter than FF and don't think I'll ever change back to FF or IE

I've used it for approx 12 hours. So far so good. The difference is a definite marked improvement.

Same here, Rowdy. I downloaded yesterday on my old Dell C640, and pages load a lot faster. No crashes yet, either.

I don't use to many, but while in beta it will be an issue for some. Once it isn't beta anymore, develepers or start supporting it.
