1. Fire Mike McCarthy
He's a has been.

2. Release Zeke
He's no longer committed to winning and keeping him on the roster is sending a bad message to the rest of the team.

3. Give McClay full GM duties
I'd stay out of roster construction since my skills and abilities in identifying talent is lacking. Although it's greater than a majority of posters on this site.

What would the first 3 things you'd do as Owner and calling the shots.

1) moving heaven & earth to land Cam Ward @ #1 overall in the upcoming draft. Im offering Micah PARSONS + 2 or 3 consecutive #1's to Carolina or Tennessee to do it.

2) I'm relieving Jerry Jones as GM. I'm giving the job to McClay with no interference.

3) I'm firing McCarthy & Zimmer I'm giving the HC job to Al Harris for the remainder of 2024.

1. So they're just going to hire another YES man.
2. Zeke who dat? This is NOT 2016.
3. Is this Will McClay the ultimate YES man you are referring to?
The man who chose Taco over J.J. and the immovable Mazi?
Are you joking here?
What qualification does this guy WM have who is mistake-riddled and all he does is carry the code bag (Yes just like the President has) and follows Jerry around like a puppy dog?

Get serious man play time is over and getting embarrassed every week kinda hurts......

1. I'd tell Steven Jones the new regime will be using free agency(not his version of it), so......
2. I'd call Ozzie Newsome and ask if he would come out of retirement to be the GM. He helped to scout and build the Baltimore Ravens' teams of championship glory, as their GM.
3. Last, each week, I would offer free game tickets to military veterans, nurses and teachers.

Just need 1 - sell the team.

New owner must promise to clean house A to Z and revamp the roster though.
This is the ONLY real answer. This ownership group has been involved in the day to day at a micro level for a long time and I simply think they are way too jaded to properly run a football team in today's NFL. Don't get me wrong, they love the MONEY todays NFL brings them, but the costs to win from a time, effort and expense perspective is not something they are interested in doing.

This is the same front office that thought Jimmy was 1 of 500 coaches that could coach in Dallas. This front office did not want to pay Emmit in 1992. It is well documented how Stephen EXPLODED at Jerry for what he spent to acquire Deion. This is the same front office that ADMITTED out loud that when this team was being run like a REAL football operation (Bill Parcells) that they weren't having any fun and began to do things to get BACK to their preferred way of running things!!!

THIS IS WHAT WE ARE DEALING WITH FOLKS. Stephen will be no better than Jerry. We are doomed with this ownership group. Take a TRUE look at what this group has done outside of Jimmy and/or Jimmys players. Take a look! 6 playoff wins in almost 30 years! That is who this group is. But because of the 3 Super Bowls, this fanbase gets duped into thinking these guys have done it before and they can do it again....but the truth.....the truth.....is that they have NEVER done it or even come CLOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If i am taking control as new owner today.

1/ Keep most of the team structure in place, minus Jones family members who of course would all leave after the purchase.

2/ Hire a consulting firm to consider and give recommendations regarding a new President of Football Operations. Speak with current owners for input in this regard.

3/ After receiving recommendations hire a President of Football Operations with the authority to make decisions regarding all aspects of on field performance including, of course, the hiring of future staff.

clean house A to Z
I think this can't be over emphasized. They all need to go. Even ones who may have actually been decent at their job (if there are any). While all the offices are empty have a deep cleaning done. Open the windows & let some fresh air in.

Completely reset the organization. No vestage of what it has become can remain.

1. Hire a GM.
2. Hit the phones and see how I could get another 1st round pick and another 2nd round pick in this draft.
3. Take a sat in the owners box and let it happen in front of me.

But in reality, the damage has already been done with the contracts Jerry has signed. There is no escaping the Dak contract damage. As long as we are playing fantasy football, let me go back in time and NOT sign the Dak extension. In fact, let me go back to March and force Dak to give me a number, then force a trade if I don't like it. Same with Cee Dee.

The biggest problem for any new GM is undoing the CAP damage Jerry has already done.
