Used PFN's simulator.

1st- Michael Mayer, TE ND

We get solid value at the TE position with a guy who should become one of the better receiving TE's in the NFL. Depth at the position and some risers land him here

2nd- Emmanuel Forbes, CB Mississippi State

Long, super athletic, SEC tested with a penchant for TO's. Slight build isnt great, but he should be able to get up to 190-195. #4 CB in 2023 and moves into a starting spot in 2024

3rd- Israel Abanikanda, HB Pittsburgh

Zone scheme back with solid power and excellent burst. Will make an effective 1/2 punch with Pollard in 2023 and be the everydown back in 2024. Needs some work on passing downs, but will be a very productive runner

4th- Andrew Voorhees, OT/OG USC

24 years old, and likely to miss the season with a torn ACL. However he is great value this deep in the 4th and should start at LG in 2024 if we move Tyler to LT permanently.

5th - Jerrod Clarke, DT Coastal Carolina

Dallas continues their pursuit of Day 3 1T's. Long armed former HS TE is a little green, but a more talent player than Bohanna or Ridgeway. Probably good enough right now to bounce Bohanna off the team and play behind Hankins (if retained)

6th- Noah Ruggles, K Ohio State

No more wondering who are kicker will be

7th- Evan Hull, HB Northwestern

Excellent value here in the 7th, could be a productive counterpart to Abanikanda in 2024

I am just not a fan of a TE in the first but it could really depend on the board at that point. Like Voorhees. And taking the Pitt TB or even a guy like McIntosh or Spears in the middle rounds makes more sense to me than using 26 on a TB.

Pretty realistic. Voorhees a red shirt stash. Maybe get him a round later. I am still of the opinion they take WR somewhere. Your most intriguing pick is Clarke. Looking for that late round Jay Ratliffe magic.

I’d be cool with the 3rd and 4th picks. CB is deep, but I wouldn’t force a pick in the first 3 rounds unless it’s really, really good value.

They are pretty much telegraphing a TE pick. I do think if Banks is there, that changes thing. He probably wont be though.

Personally Id take a swing at Carter who went a few picks ahead of us. Id be willing to give up a 4th for that

Id like to try and get a Bland at WR too, but honestly it looks pretty thin this year. We may have to punt

I think they are telegraphing a TB pick myself.

Mayer doesn’t move the needle for me.
Mayer is the guy that you draft if you want a ready to play kid. He's likely the one TE in this draft you could plug and play right from the start. But he has a ceiling that is lower than some of the other guys who are more physically talented.

I just can't do TE or TB at 26. Sure, that could change if the board is wasted but I am really hoping an OL is there that makes sense for us. I'd love a DL but the way these mocks go, I am just not seeing many interior DL options that make sense at that pick. Kancey or Breese? Both seem like risks.

Not bad, although I would definitely switch OG/DT with the CB in the 2nd. Forbes weighed 166 at the combine, saying he’s going to add 25 ponds and maintain elite athletic ability to play CB is pretty unrealistic. I’d say 180 is more realistic, which to me makes him a slot CB only.

TB as in RB? Crossing fingers for Robinson or Gibbs personally
Yeah and I am not a fan of either at 26. Deep TB draft. You can find good ones in the middle rounds. Use the high picks to bolster the lines.

I think we're in good shape to do what we want here. I hate high draft TE's more than RB's if I'm honest, but if we do that I'm ok too.

My mindset is it's pick 26. Get the guy you covet if he's there. If Im looking @ my starting 11 on O, I see a need for a stud RB most... we will be a handful for ANY D with a stud back.

Pretty nice haul and it makes a lot of sense. Voorhees is a real nice draft and stash for 2024. I am warming up to Johnson from Texas as my preferred back due to not much wear and tear, but we can go in many different directions, no need to draft one in rd 1.

Gibbs has Chris Johnson potential. If he is there at 26 you have to consider him. Especially when you are all in this season.

Not taking a 1st rd back, other then Robinson who I believe is a top 10 prospect.

I think Jamal Williams would have been a perfect tandem with Pollard. It there a Pierce type of running back that we can get in the 4th?

If you feel that way I’d certainly take it. Voorhees worries me a little not justice is injury but his movement skills but he’s definitely strong. Good job
