Hello,

My feelings right now are those of fear. I fear becoming the Arizona Cardinals, I fear slipping into oblivion.
I thought we had a defense, I thought Ware and Henry and Canty and Spears gave us a backbone gave us toughness to get into a fist fight. However, we've been trampled 4 weeks straight - were Dat and Singleton that good?
I fear that Jerry will bow to Parcells and let him spend more and more on old football players - players that chew up Valuable CAP space ala Key, Glenn, Rivera, Bledsoe etc.
My fear is that we are back to square one - back to where we were Pre-Dave Campo.
You can make the case we need a MLB - Two Starting WR's - And a Quarterback , And a Center and a Right Tackle and a Fullback.

Very Down today.

Rivera is the only old guy with an unreasonable deal. Key, Glenn, Bledsoe, all could be cut without a serious cap hit.

We need one more offseason to focus on drafting offense. our OL and overall offense needs serious help. and we need ilb and fs.

Because you dared to say this...

I officially feel fine in saying that I blame you for the terrible loss yesterday. ;)

BTW welcome to the board...but please don't EVER compare or even think about us being or becoming...the cardinals.

:)

Old Coach = old players

It would be nice to have an aggressive, somewhat younger minded, coach to lead us in the future. It will never happen though. No one dares rip Parcells. It's not his fault. It's our offensive line's fault. The one that has had ONE injury that has cuased so many probelms. It's not his fault we have to play conservative because we lost ONE offensive lineman. It's amazing how other teams do it. Maybe their coaches have a better eye for linemen, including backups.

Welcome to the board...

Ya know, we've become sorta insignificant...that's alot worse than being hated...

There is a little more to it than that... its takes more time to develop a young drafted O-lineman than it does a D-Lineman... D can contribute right away... not necessarily true for O-lineman...

We are in the same mindset.

Actually it is several injuries -- Flo is the one I assume you are talking about. But Jacob Rogers' was being counted on as the RT of the future. We whiffed on that -- as will sometimes happen with 2nd round picks -- the "scouts" begged him not to take Rogers but who would listen to guys who crowed about their picks or Solomon Page and Tony Dixon? ("Yeah, we really liked Page, we tried to trade up into the first to get him. We got lucky he was still there")

Rivera's back injury in the off-season was huge. He has been a shadow of his former self.

That's 3 injuries not 1. That's where our depth went.

There are few teams in this league that could survive those sorts of OL losses.

:welcome:

We're young on D, especially with the losses of Dat Nguyen and Al Singleton.

My biggest gripe is that when we blitz we run right at the blockers. I don't know, maybe we think they will move out of the way and let us kill the QB?

Now that's a post that makes sense.
