First two picks should be RB and WR

So drafting skill position players will help the defense stop the run? Defense still wins championships. Ask Kansas City.

Truth be told, the Cowboys could load up on skill players and then in a few years we will be saying that talent was wasted thru out the years with nothing to show for it.
I'm not saying the cowboys should be building for a SB this year. Next 3 years more like it. Offense heavy this year, defense heavy year after.

Cowboys aren't winning a SB next season anyway.

That'll help us stop the run. Go for it!
Yeah because that has worked out well for the cowboys the last few years. The only argument you can make here is how the cowboys have done it wrong even when trying.

RB and WR would be a welcoming change

Depends who is there. Cheaper to pay a top RB and draft a DE,DT,WR Etc. They need players at most positions so it is better to target the more expensive to retain (assuming talent is about even) then use free agency to fill it. Unfortunately that isn't what they do.

Probably correct that Dallas isn't a Super Bowl contender this season but they could get much, much better in the draft if things fall their way. Getting a solid RB and a run stuffing DT, and a starting RG then things would be much, much better. I know everyone says WR early and maybe they will but believe they are far happier than fans with Lamb, Tolbert, Turpin, Mingo and Campbell. Do I see us taking a WR, sure just not sure it will be as early as fans hope.

Think the WR and TE with already have might be fine in our proposed heavy run offense and pass action pass attack. More of a key to success with that type of offense is finding the starting RG and believing the coaches that Guyton is going to be the guy at LT. Fans aren't high on Steele but forget the first 10 games last year as still recovering from surgery, he looked like the guy they signed to a 4 year deal the last 7 games. Still after RG is a DT that can stop the run along with a Mike LB that can also help in that phase.

I wouldn't be surprised with a trade down for an extra 2 and take something like Nolan DT, Savaiinaea RG, Judkins RB, and Thomas CB in first 3 rounds.

Can't see them trading Parsons, and trading Prescott is nonsense as he has a no-trade clause in his contract and the cap hit for cutting him or trading him would be somewhere around $130 million and leave us with Milton as the starting QB meaning we would be tanking in 2025 to try and get Arch Manning.

I am not convinced that Johnson or Judkins are better than Martinez or Sampson, who would not necessitate a second-round pick.

Thank you, don't want to get anyone mad at me about the "trenches" though there's question marks this is OBVIOUSLY one of those positions where they're looking not to spend a high draft pick on because they brought in depth pieces/guys to compete for the job (Jones/Charles) while also having hoffman!

As far as the play makers, I agree let's not reach, if T-mac is gone, PLEASE just trade back and gain another pick to help out in rounds 2-4!!! Get Golden/Ebuka/kid from Missouri, one of those guys will be there!!!!!! As for RB, I think we need to focus on getting one that can really boost this offense. I like the options, I want Jenty (regardless of how people feel about taking a RB early!) IF he's gone no biggy, we look to Hampton/Henderson, Judkins, Johnson etc, hopefully there's not a run on RB's that we can't get a handle on. Could possibly see us using a 5th to trade up in the 2nd if we had to (hope not)
That’s true I wonder if there is a big run in running backs fromm33-40

Why? Drafts this deep at DT don't come along often. We'd be missing a great chance to build a super bowl contender.

Plus, for those always screaming BPA, the BPA will most likely be a DT in 2 of the first 3 rounds.

I've been thinking about how and it's not a single player. Teams usually have clusters graded close together. So it's possible to get need and bpa. NFL has Golden and Barron with a grade of 6.42 and 2 players above and below at 6.43 and6.41.

Some may want OL, DL, etc but the cowboys have done this a lot thru out the years with top picks only to have the OL and DL talent wasted thru out the years with nothing to show for.

They recently had one of the best offensive lines and majority are gone.

I'm ready to see a WR and RB with the first two picks and they can do whatever they want with the rest of the picks.

I love the idea of already having Milton, a RB, and another future WR to solidify the offense for the future.

Online and defense should be focused heavy on in 2026 FA and the 2026 draft.
LOL. 2026 FA.

The Mingo love is awesome. Dude is a JAG until he proves otherwise.

I basically had the exact opposite of your plan. The main reason I went DL/OL first is to get a year under their belt before picking up the skilled positions. Good WRs and RBs tend to be pretty good right away. The other reason is this looks to be a crappy draft for WRs.
