After watching the postseason this year, a few things caught my attention:

-Being able to generate consistent pass rush with your front 4
-Be able to contain a rushing attack without extra men inside the box
-Have success running the football when teams have their two safeties back.
-OL pass protection must be strong
-Not a need for an elite corner, but need one at Free Safety

I used pro football network mock draft simulator to come up with a draft class based on the parameters above. No trades were made, made picks at our draft slots:

10-Slater G/T Northwestern (will be the best 5 OL starter and won't be crippled if injury occurs at Tackle)
44-Grant FS UCF (here is our rangy safety)
75-McNeil NT NC State (ideal fit for the position, surprised he lasted here, but it's possible)
99-McGrone LB Michigan (I would start him day 1 at the Mike and keep the other two on the outside)
115-Turner DE Houston (can play multiple spots along the DL, good Crawford type of replacement)
138-Adebo CB Stanford (he is an excellent zone corner, that many forget about due to him opting out)

gawd i ' puke it we take slater i much rather have parsons or cb at 10

Homerun. Not sure if McGrone or Adebo last that long but sign me up if they do.

I think McGrone is a top 50/60 ish player.

A lot of those 2nd tier linebackers are projected as day 2 picks. Hopefully, one or two slide into the middle of rd 3. Could very well be off the board, where we look to the next tier like a Monty Rice or Tony Fields.

Huge fan of Adebo, really think many have forget about him. I think with good depth at the position, it's possible a quality corner could be there in day 3. He isn't in Dane's top 100, so it could happen.

I’m on board with this than taking Surtain at 10

I don’t think McNeil lasts until 75

Nose Tackles are hard to project where they go, especially ones after the first rd. Teams usually don't take run players until late day 2. McNeil does have a little rush abilities, but still is considered more of a two down player. Many think McNeil reminds them of Justin Hargrove, where he is a former 3rd rd selection. I think it's possible, but more likely a late 2nd rd type of player.

I think McGrone is going to test out off the charts and it will push him up.

I could see the opposite for Adebo as I think he lacks long speed. He’s kinda like a poor mans Surtain. A ton of college raps and + production just not a top end athlete. If we’re gonna be some heavy no issues with a player like him.

Curious as to what we'd be doing at corner, but I like the idea of only taking 1 DB instead of 2 in the first three rounds, especially with Adebo late. He's got flaws in his game but could be a guy who excels in this type of system.

Not all the 2nd tier LB's will come off the board in rd 2, could see 1-3 in rd 3: Cox, Browning, McGrone, Surratt, Werner, Moses.

I think Adebo is a good scheme fit. Think some of those day 2 opt outs could potentially fall to day 3. Ambry Thomas is another one of those players.

I still really like Farley, but don't see much of a wide gap after him. Such players like Melifonwu, Newsome II, Adebo, Taylor all look like good scheme fits. Also, really like what I saw in Kelvin Joseph yesterday, wonder if he character issues force him to drop.

What I learned is that you can build a winning OL without having to use first round picks to get one.

Taking Slater at 10 just rubs me the wrong way in a year where defense is such a need. Granted, there might not be a defender worth taking at 10.

Yea I agree with that (though I wouldn't put Adebo in that second tier).

I guess I'm just curious who is starting across from Diggs. Brown isn't really an outside player, and it'd be a lot to expect Robinson to take that spot.

I don't like the idea either, but we just witnessed what happened to a 1 loss Chiefs Team when their Tackles went down.

Not only did Tyron/Collins pretty much miss the entire season, but Martin is also starting to breakdown. We are also trying to replace Frederick at Center. Slater can start inside and give us a legitimate option at Tackle if one would go down. Makes total sense address this area now, before it's too late.

No, I didn't say Adebo is in the 2nd tier, but rather a good scheme fit.

Outside of Bolton, McGrone is the only other LBr I’d take in the 2nd with our pick as I see a drop off after him.

I wouldn’t take any of the rest until the 3rd but that list doesn’t overly excite me.

A good CB will be there in 3. There is depth at the position. You are on the right track.

We shouldn't sleep on Fields or Wallow at LB. They need a smaller, faster guy to play the weak side in Quinn's favored scheme.

Slater would be my fall back option, if the corners are gone and we can't get a trade down. Farley is my top guy, but more and more mocks have him going to Denver 1 pick before us.

I like it. McGrone has been a pet cat of mine since Dallas’ season ended, so I really like that pick. He might go sooner but that position sometimes slides.

Slater is a really good player and if defense isn’t there, I’d be fine with him. He would give a lot of security to the offensive line. He can play just about anywhere and do it at a level above just about anyone Dallas has except for Martin and (maybe) Smith.

Grant I like and is a target of mine in round 2 and the same goes for McNeil in round 3 (although he might go in the second).

Adebo is a fallback plan for me like Newsome in case they don’t draft a corner earlier. I like his play a lot.

Turner I like but not as much as all the rest.

Very nice Mock.
