How much time is left, and when does it start really escalating in cap hit, as they tend to do in their later years? Adam? Stephen Jones? Anyone?

This is the last year in Flozell's contract. He's scheduled to make a $5 Million sallary and I believe a $500k roster bonus. If he were cut, which I don't see happening, I believe Dallas would actually save the full 5.5 Mil against the cap since the $2 Mil pro-rate on his signing bonus is a sunk charge.

keep Adams for his final year.....draft his replacement this year.

in '03, we gave him a 5 year deal, for 5 mil a year, '07 would be the last year on his deal

According to Parcells they have already drafted his replacement. McQuistan will get a strong look in camp and who knows, he may beat Flo out in camp.

Guessing you have no faith in McQ eh? FWIW BP likes him.

Not this year.

Like Rich pointed out, Adams (pre Rich's rankings) was the 6th best LT in the NFL.

I would sooner think that McQ would more likely replace Fabini as the 3rd tackle this year and hopefully use that as a springboard to replacing Adams in 2008.

Levi brown looks good, all muscle. If he is there at 22 i would take him.

Thanks - didn't know this was it. i think it's safe to say he doesn't return after this year.

name any lineman in bp's 4 years he brought in that we're happy with. so bp likes mcq, he liked several others also that got nowhere.

He liked McQ after he got him, he liked those other guys before he got them and then they disappointed. I think thats a big difference.

While it is a short list, there are names on it. I'm not going to give up on the guy after just one year.

Problem is, BP ain't around no more... and given that he also liked Petitti more than ANYBODY else seemed to, perhaps you shouldn't offer him up as a definitive source for analyzing offensive linemen...

Don't know about "eating him alive", but I do wonder how the poster can say Levi has looked good at the combine... his bench press numbers were good (31 reps made him the tenth strongest OL tested), not great, and his 40 time was decidely subpar... slow enough to make you wonder if he can handle speed rushers in the NFL, or if he'll need to move to RT at the next level... he wasn't ranked in the top 10 or 15 in any other of the tests conducted either...

No, a 40 time is not the best way to evaluate an offensive lineman... but it's one of the main tests of this combine, and Levi kinda flunked it... OK, let's be generous, and give him a D on his 40 time, maybe a B for his bench press... these are not the grades I'm looking for in a first round prospect...

Then again, he was never really on my radar anyway, since I don't see the Boys drafting a tackle in the first round under any circumstances...
