FMIA: Whispers, Rumors And Gut Feelings As Most Unusual NFL Draft Ever (According To Gil Brandt) Nea

I really don't understand why Slater is not a reach and Horn is. I've seen both ranked in the low teens by some.

scouts are divided on Slater, some even putting him above Sewell but both are clearly top 10 picks and Slater has faced great DEs. Horn was a second round pick as late as February and only started getting talked up after news of Farley surgery came out. He’s not a top 10 pick IMO. He’s no better than Diggs who we got in rd 2 last year

I’m not a fan. He’s getting talked up because people are infatuated with CBs just like with WRs without understanding that real defenses need front 7 and safety play. Who were the great CBs fir the Ravens or the Steelers and the Eagles (when Johnson was DC) and Seattle (other than Sherman)? Bet you know who their DL, LB and safeties were

CBs are over-rated esp Horn

thing is, how much difference is there between Horn and Diggs? And we got Diggs in rd 2
Diggs was great value in round 2 but Horn is rated quite a bit hitgher.

Trevon Diggs

Talented prospect with rare combination of size, strength and ball skills. As a former receiver, Diggs has an instinctive feel for his opponent's plans and uses his size and athleticism to disrupt the blueprint when possible. The foot agility and short-area burst are good for his size and helped keep completion totals low. He's inconsistent staying in phase with downfield routes and long speed is his kryptonite, causing grabbing and holding when panic sets in. He's a future starting press-man corner with the hands and ball tracking to take it away and should benefit from more help over the top as a pro. Future consideration at free safety is possible considering his size and skill set.

Weaknesses
  • Upright heel-clicker mirroring release
  • Playmaking mentality can work against him
  • Reacts before properly surveying the situation
  • Loses discipline guarding combo routes
  • Struggles to stay in phase with double moves
  • Long speed is a concern with certain matchups
  • Jersey-tugger when chasing to recover
  • Picked on by LSU and Ja'Marr Chase
  • Had trouble maintaining positioning while tracking deep throws
  • Needs better attention to positioning as open-field tackler

If Horn and Diggs are our starters then its Diggs who is getting picked on ,we have already seen his lack of foot speed.

I used to think this was an easy pick. Surtain

But I actually lean toward wanting Slater now. Think about getting another Tyron Smith at this point in this draft. That will have a way bigger impact than a corner.

I thought that way too but starting to think OL is the way to start than go lots of Defense but wanting 1 more OL with the next 9 picks so
I would like to see the following 2-OL, 7 Defensive PLayers and the WR out of University of North Texas and the reason because next year he becomes Gallup when Gallup leaves
