For as worried as we are about our OL, TB fans are more worried about theirs

Glancing over their boards this evening, it is nothing short of panic. Apparently it has been so bad in practice that they've been limiting what the DL is allowed to do in 11 on 11 just to allow the QB and receivers to be able to practice in any meaningful way. Their interior OL can't block anyone. They are legitimately worried Brady won't survive the first few weeks.

Hopefully, our defense will be able to do more to theirs than they will to ours. But both teams have reasons for concern.

My main concern is their power up the middle. Theirs should be our speed, esp. with Parsons rushing.

I was curious about this comment until I gave it some thought. It's really a toss-up. Two evenly matched teams. Unless I missed the point entirely.

Lots of injuries in camp I have heard.

I'll admit to not knowing what to expect in this upcoming game with Tampa Bay. Judging by all that's happened on the injury front with both teams, it would seem like the end results might go in either direction of us or them. I can imagine that it's a valid point that they're in somewhat more damaged shape than we are in their numbers of injuries. I believe we can fully expect a tough game that will challenge us considerably.

Yep, there's always those quick releases of Brady that we'll have to deal with. Perhaps our improved defensive front might give him enough pressure to curtail his effectiveness. I'm partial to that idea. Here's hoping the skill and depth of our pass rushers might serve to curtail Brady's composure. As the same token, Dak will be obliged to perform at his best to augment the play of the remaining receivers that we'll have available. ;)

I'd say both teams were evenly matched last year. I'd give us a slight edge up this season.

Brady’s kryptonite has always been direct pressure through the A and B gaps. He deals with edge pressure well but lacks the mobility to make plays happen when pressured up the middle. And generally when teams can do that to him consistently it looks UGLY because his offense can’t adjust for it.

You can adjust for power in the passing game, especially with a mobile QB like Dak. You use the quick passing game as an extensive of the run to avoid running up the middle and move the pocket a lot in the downfield game. Vea is a beast but he isn’t winning a race to the QB.

There is no adjustment for speed up the middle against an immobile QB. Nothing works in that scenario. It’s why Brady never got going in either SB against NY, they ran twists, stunts and LB blitzes to get edge rushers and linebackers with free releases directly up the middle.

I'd like nothing better than to believe that, even though we've had such lousy luck with Brady in the past.

I'll just keep my fingers crossed on that. Let's hope our players do all they possibly can to win this game.

I think it's tough to picture a winning experience against a Brady-led team. Perhaps this time is different.

Two rookies on the interior and their scouting reports both indicate they struggle with quick DTs.

Osa and Trysten are fast.

Yes good point. Both teams have reasons to be anxious about this game. At this point I truly believe our offensive line will hold up better than theirs. My concern about the game is will Brady be able to beat us with a banged up line. So basically both QBs are dealing with offensive line issues but theirs is more severe but Brady is a much better QB than Dak. I'm not confident Dak can beat them with an adjusting offensive line. But that's why they play the game.

And there within lies the rub.

Many on here will say....
We win, they will say because TB was not at full strength.
We lose they will be out in force, we can't beat an injured team slobbering all over TB12 in spite of our own OL issues.

They should be worried.
