For my 5,000th post, I wanted to put up a special thread, but

after the Hutch vs. Quincy vs. Henson debates, and the pro/anti TO, RW, JJ (both of them) debates, what could top that?

So, I plan on putting up a post with a whimper . . . .

I'm really getting excited again now that the Giants debacle is over and I've had a chance to recover, and it seems the off-season is just starting to heat up.

I'd expect that in the next 4-5 days we'll hear about a lot of re-signings on our rosters, players that will be released from our roster, and fresh rumors on players we will be targeting after February 29th.

The Combine is also right around the corner, which will, of course, lead to my revised mock draft shortly thereafter. I'm sure most of you can't wait for that!

Anyway, here's to an exciting off-season! And I think it's now here! :starspin

Someday I too hope to be at 5000 posts.

I am very excited about the 2008 season and expect us to come out with a new fire and we won't see the December letdown that has plagued us over the last several years.

This really does remind me of the late 60s when we were the most talented team in the league but couldn't seem to get past the hump and win in the playoffs. That's what made our SB win over the Dolphins so SWEET!

When we finally win another SB in the next year or two it will be very sweet too! :starspin
