Chicago Music Store in Tucson (2 locations) is having a 1/2 price sale on all of their Mexico editions of the Fender Stratocaster.

Thought if someone has really been wanting one they might consider Googling the info and ask about shipping, etc.

It looked to me like they were normally $799.00. Very nice guitars to be sure.

Cool deal! Though I like Teles sound better.

The best one I can recall was the opening of the Mars Music store in Austin. I was working there then, and apparantly Mars had made a huge bulk buy of some American-made Gibson Les Pauls. Only two choices, metal flake gold or purple, with kinda nasty brown backs. They would trot out some of these for each store opening, to really wow folks. They had around 40 of them that were going for $399 iirc. Would have been a good investment only, as I'm no guitarist. Surprised me, they nearly lasted to the closing of the first day.

They also had a white ZZTop guitar on display with a wicked price. It got bought by the Mars CEO, who was apparantly a big fan.

I would jump all over that, but my wife would be pissed. I've already purchased two high end guitars in the last year.

I have Les Gibson Stratocaster one of a kind Air Guitar, you can play any song out there on this and it sounds like the artist.

Strats "fit" like no other guitar. It feels like a 3rd arm....so comfortable and balanced.

You haven't played an Ibanez. My RG2550E is easily the most comfortable guitar I've ever played. My 89' Fender Strat comes in second.

I almost forgot. If anyone calls the downtown Tucson store...ask for Stephen, he is the guitar specialist and he is a Cowboys fan.

One last thing, they had 7 different colors that I saw.
