I don't know how many people play poker but a friend sent this to me and i decided to post it here. It took place a few years ago. The second clip is Negreanu talking about the hand in the first clip.

Hansen checking on the river was inspired.

they just opened high stakes poker here in Florida earlier this month. I have a lot of friends that play. One guy had pocket kings, moved all in on the turn at the tune of $5000 was called by an A-J and the guy hits an Ace on the river. I would throw up on the table-

I sucked out on 2 people once in a tournament. I was in the BB and they both called in late position. I had AK and raised it 3x the BB. The first guy re-raises me and the 2nd guy calls. I didnt have a ton of chips left so I decided to try and triple up and moved all in. They BOTH call. One guy flips over AA, the other KK. Im like you have to be kidding me, about the 2 words hands I could see with the AK I was holding. That was until the flop came TJQ and I win the hand.

I went from on my way out the door with no money to finishing in the top 10 in the tournament and making $1800 all because I played stupid and got lucky.

Guy looks like he's wearing makeup in the 2nd video.

He almost has the eyeliner of a pubescent goth.

I used to play a LOT online back when it was legal. Got in a few "free roll" tourneys and placed top 5 and was playing with house money on the weekends.

I get in a $500 buy in one Saturday night. About all the cash I had in that account and I refused to use my own. We're down to the last 6 players out of a good number that started. Maybe like 50 total. First through fifth place pays out.

This one guy who had the username "Snake-something-something" had been getting lucky here and there and had made the final table. The guy talked so much trash, but he had zero strategy on how to play or bet.

So he and I were chip leaders, him just ever so slightly ahead of me. I draw pocket Aces and we end up isolated against each other. Flop comes and it is A-2-2. Boat. I'll take it. He raises me again. I'm guessing he's got the other Ace or an A-2.

Turn comes out something like a 4 or 7. He dumps a ton of chips. Okay, he's been strong since the deal so he's got something going on but I'm not sure what.

River, another 2. Now I'm in a jam. I've got Aces over 2's. He's been betting from the outset like he's got a strong hand. WTH is it? There's a ton of our chips both sitting in the pot.

I go all in. Not the smartest move, but I'm pretty sure I've got the strongest hand. He matches.

Cards turn.

He's got four 2's. I stare at the computer screen and cannot believe it. I was ready to throw the monitor out the window when I looked at his hand.

His pocket cards? 8-2 off suit. :banghead:

I quit playing after that tourney. I was furious about it for a week. 8-2 off suit and makes four 2's out of it beating my AAA-22.

how did you win that hand? The guy with two tens had a better full house-10s full of 9s vs your 9s full of 4-You must have the story wrong.

that kind of crap is what got me to never play online again. I just don't trust the sites. Especially after that one got busted with the owners cheating the players a few years ago.

This shows generation gap for me. I don't care much for Hold 'em poker, having been weaned on five and seven card stud and Jacks or Better draw poker.

I'll never top the time I sat in for my father for a couple of hands in his weekly pot limit, table stakes game where I drew a pat straight flush, 5-9 in spades. Lots of callers, and someone raised. :laugh2:
