For those of you who want an all defense draft, or don't want an OT with the first round pick, what would you think about this scenaro:

1. We re-sign Dak, for $40M per year for 5 years.
2. We bank on Tyron coming back, because THAT'S WHAT WE DO.
3. Tyron predictably cant play game 1 and may never return, or he retires..
4. Backup OT gets Dak's femur snapped in game 1.
5. Misery ensues on CZ, Tank Talk begins after game 1.
6. Dak 's career is over. Massive cap hit. Cap hell for three years.
7. The people who wanted an all defense draft, and NO OLINE IN FIRST ROUND here complain, how did we let this happen?

Don't think many here want an ALL defense draft, just the first couple of picks.

Realistically though you're not going to find 7-8-9 highly rated defensive players, at some point they will dry up and the next bpa will be an offensive player, unless all 31 other teams all draft for defense, which is extremely unlikely...

I want defense too.

But if Sewell is as good as the experts say then you can't pass it up with Tyron playing like he is on his last leg.


Don't forget..

Chase Young is going to be in this division for a decade most likely. Sewell is potentially our counter if we get to select the best non-QB.
