I just wanted to demonstrate that, yes, it's possible to draft a star at the #26 position.

There have been three HOFers, six five-times or more Pro Bowlers, a Super Bowl MVP, and ten players that started 10 or more years.

LB Ray Lewis and two guards, Allen Faneca and Joe DeLamielleure were HOFers drafted at this position. Faneca protected Roethlisberger for the Steelers, including the 2005 Super Bowl. He was a six-time 1st team All Pro. Joe DeLamielleure was part of the Bills "Electric Company" the O-line that blocked for O.J. Simpson when he became the league's first 2000 yard rusher. We all know about Ray Lewis.

Other notable players include six-time Pro Bowler Clay Matthews, Center Dan Mosebar, DE Dana Stubblefield, as well as QB and future HC Jim Harbaugh.

Historically, the Cowboys have drafted at the #26 position four times. In the spirit of full disclosure, the results have been........terrible,

The Cowboys four picks at the #26 position netted a total of seven starting seasons. The picks are RB Bill Thomas in 1972, G Howard Richards in 1981, WR Alexander Wright in 1990, and LB Anthony Spencer in 2007.

Interestingly, Alexander Wright was the only 2nd round pick that was #26 overall. How? Three teams forfeited their 1st round picks because they selected a 1st round pick in the previous year's supplemental draft. Those teams were the Cowboys, Cardinals and Broncos. Therefore at #26, Alexander Wright was the first selection in the 2nd round.
