I remember learning about Sir Francis Bacon but not really as one of the founding fathers so much. I could see why he was downplayed as a Lord in England and then assisting the revolution.

Kind of cool how he used their resources against themselves (England) to reach his personal vision for utopia/new atlantis.

I have heard this story a few times, about a man called the professor who helped the founding fathers in a few key moments. I can't find much info on the net but i did find this.

Has anyone else ever heard about this, if so do you think it's a true story or?

Sounds like a cool story, i'm not sure if i believe it or not.
