Before Tony broke his leg I was 100% sure we’d use the tag on him. Now I’m not so sure.

LVE and Wilson are the two other guys that will get a lot of interest in the market. Should we consider using the tag on one of them?

With Tony’s injury do we risk letting him hit free agency? His value will be tempered at least some and I can’t see him getting an offer as big as the defensive guys.

Right now I’d say use the tag on Wilson. He may get a huge offer from another team but I wouldn’t necessarily want the Cowboys to give him a huge deal at the moment.

Problem with that is you’d have to be prepared to let Tony walk if a team goes all out for him. Not sure Jerry would be willing to lose him.

Tag Pollard. I would think a broken bone would be a "better" injury than a torn ACL... he should be ready to go next season, but I'm no doctor

The bone will heal. Hopefully there is not a lot of soft tissue damage.

I want Pollard back but using the franchise tag on a guy that isn’t even recovered from his injury is risky. Only way I’d do that is if we can get Wilson and LVE re-signed pronto.

Pollard has a bone injury, not a soft tissue injury. Unless there is more to the story that we dont know about this injury should be a non factor. Even if injury is a concern that is even more reason to look at the Tag for him. A 1 year prove it type of situation doesnt kill a team, especially at the cost of a RB tag.

I'm not too worried about Pollard, yes he is a dynamic guy but we can get RB's even in free agency and I doubt that is the biggest need this team has going into next year.

Noway do you re sign him. Sorry Jerry has signed to many players coming off injury.

I say Wilson is almost a must bring back. Him and Parsons are the type of guys you need on your team to make a run. Pollards injury shouldn't be a big deal next season. I wouldn't mind drafting a DT or Linebacker in round 1 in April.

Problem is they will have to carry Dak. Man I can't get over how bad he played yesterday, I'm so pissed how our QB is the only reason this team isn't playing in the NFC Championship.

Wilson is the only guy I would consider tagging. Hankins would become priority #2. Then the Oline - FA's.

I like Pollard, but he is like Gallup......might not make it back from injury, and is in a position that quickness is his #1 asset.
No huge contract for Pollard, if I were GM. (see Zeke as to why) I feel the same way about Schultz.

I like LVE, but he isn't dynamic enough to warrant a tag, but if i could sign him inexpensively enough............

LVE (gluestick) needs to go. The fact that he played somewhat better toward the end of the season is no reason to keep him. He is injury prone, lumbering, and prone to being blocked.
