Here are some probable FA bargains I think the Boys should explore:

DeWayne White OLB (Bucs) -- Wrong system in Tampa, was highly regarded in the 2003 draft. I think he would be well suited in Phillips' scheme as an OLB.

Antwaan Peek OLB (Texans)-- Was coming on as a 3-4 OLB, before a new 4-3 system was implemented this year by Houston. He would come cheap and I am betting could produce 7-10 sacks next year.

Torrie Cox CB (Bucs)--Not going to replace ether starter, but could be a decent nickel or dime corner. Great speed, decent kick returner.

Jordan Black OT/OG (Chiefs)--Versatile and still young with some upside.

Napolean Harris ILB (Vikes)--Major disappointment...but huge talent and very athletic.

Shaun Mcdonald WR (Rams)--Caught in a numbers game in St.Louis, isn't going to break Jerry Rice's records anytime soon, but can be a dependable third receiver...not that the Boys are looking for one, but I thought I would throw him out there.

Anyone I am missing?

Our Own Al Johnson, The Eagles CB Roddrick Hood and Eagles DE/LB Juqua Thomas come to mind.

Big Al needs some weight........

Get used to the FACT that Al Johnson is as big and strong and learned as he is going to be. He is what he is- decent and no more.

I like Hood as well....but something tells me he might not be the bargain we all think he will be.

I'm not so sure that he's coming to come too cheap. I wouldn't be surprised if he got around the same that we paid for Akin last year. Plus, from some Texans fans I've talked with...he doesn't play too smart and is out of position alot. Has some talent, but just doesn't seem to put it all together.

He is playing in the wrong scheme right now....if anything he could provide insurance and allow for drafting a WR early on instead of yet another linebacker.

good list, I would like to add OG/OT Floyd Womack and Eagle DE Juqua Thomas

it wouldn't be a bad idea to sign Colt OG Ryan Lilja to an offer sheet

More than just a matter of weight.. somehow he never seemed to get strong enough it seemed.
BP was very high on the guy, grabbed him in round 2 as I recall.

If ever there is a good argument for allowing the use of steroids it is Al Johnson:p:

I do not know what happened to this guy. He was pretty good in Oakland and just went downhill in Minny.....
