If you were looking for a new top end Android phone and are cool with Verizon. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. I believe the sale runs through Sunday.

I'm seriously thinking about dumping Verizon and buying a Galaxy Nexus from the Play store for $350 and going on a prepaid plan.

T-Mobile has a $30 unlimited web & text with 100 minutes talk plan that would save me about $500 a year.

I bought my Nexus One outright and put it on T-Mobile. If I had bought it through T-Mobile, it would have been a two year contract AND the data plan contract I would have been forced to take cost about $5 more a month. So I saved about $120 over course of the two years on the data plan.

Of course, I switched to Verizon for two reason. One being the Galaxy Nexus was available there first in the US, but I also wanted true G4 connection.

I must say, when I actually have a G4 connection, it's DEFINITELY worth it. The problem is, I hardly ever have it on my commute and if / when I do (or says I do) sometimes it doesn't seem to work. (web pages don't load)

Just be aware there are (2) different types of Galaxy Nexus phones. The one that works on T-Mobile, will not work on Verizon.

OK, I see that now. It looks like it works on both the T-Mobile and AT&T networks though.

Have my Android through Boost (Sprint network) and happy with it. Rather have no contract, shrinkage to $40 a month unlimited, than newest phone which will be old technology in a month. JMO.

Well, T-Mobile, Sprint, and AT&T didn't technically meet the set G4 standards even though the providers claimed they were. Although, I believe ITU has backpeddled on what G4 actually is.

That said, Verizon's LTE will blow the doors off T-Mobile, Sprint, and AT&T's networks. I'm talking to the tune of over two times faster.

Here is a chart that shows the differences in a laptop test.

When I was in SF, I did a connection speed test with my phone using LTE G4 and my hotel WiFi. The LTE G4 smoked my hotel WiFi connection.
