1. What activity can you not believe you survived in your childhood? Motorcycle jumping.

2. What was your first airplane ride like? My Dad was a pilot, so it was with him, and the thing I remember most was that he was flying low enough to the ground that I could see our shadow and could gauge the speed. From that moment on I have been obsessed with fast.

3. At this moment what is it that you most dislike?
The economy and how static it is being allowed to get.

4. Are your travel decisions based more on feelings of a moment or careful planning? Usually careful planning.

5. What's on deck for the weekend? Yard work and church.

1. What activity can you not believe you survived in your childhood?

We used to swing as high as we could, then flip over backward out of the swing and try to land on our feet. Doesn't seem like much but I kinda tried it years later as an adult and I was like what in the world were we thinking? lol

2. What was your first airplane ride like?

I was only 5 so I don't remember it. We did almost miss a connecting flight though. I remember running through the airport and down the breezeway. They were just about to shut the door and we got there just in time to get on.

3. At this moment what is it that you most dislike?

The bills sitting in a pile on my desk.

4. Are your travel decisions based more on feelings of a moment or careful planning?

A little of both.

5. What's on deck for the weekend?

Saturday is a huge adoption event for 25+ organizations. It's the 2y anniversary of the group, so we should get a lot of traffic. Hopefully we will have some cats (in particular *my* cats) adopted.

Sunday I'm driving 2 cats up to a sanctuary in PA. One cat has leukemia, the other has leukemia, feline aids and is also blind. The sanctuary will allow them to spend their remaining days in a normal environment and not confined to a cage.

That's awesome Faerluna.

  1. A buddy of mine and I climbed to the top of those huge metal power distribution towers and stood straight up and reached for the sky. The top was sort of like a pyramid that ended with a small 6"x6" square plate. We (separately of course) stood up on top of it. (will show a picture below) When it goes up in a pyramid, there is nothing up hold on too. The entire tower is below your feet. I guess we were around 12 or 13 at the time.
  2. My sister and I flew from D/FW to LA to see my dad. (Navy) I was about 6 or 7 and she was around 10. She cried almost the entire time. I wanted to kick the crap out of her because she wouldn't stop! haha
  3. Stupid people.
  4. Logic. Heading to San Francisco Tuesday.
  5. Prepare for trip and watch some Rangers baseball.

The tower was similar to this one.

Damn, I had some nads back then. I will still do exciting stuff, but that was stupid. :laugh2:

1: Four-wheeling. We were pretty reckless on them and I rolled those things more times than I can count. Once I flipped over the handle bars at the top of hill, tumbled all the way down and had the thing bounce on top of me. Luckily the gap where the seat is is the part that came down on me.

2: I don't remember my first airplane ride as I was only two. The first one I remember is when I discovered that I get airsick.

3: My wife just re-arranged our kitchen last week and I hate it. The organization makes no sense and I have to open about four different drawers to find what I'm looking for.

4: Planning, though I'll take local (within 2-3 hours) trips on a whim every now and then. Any sort of vacation is always planned, though.

5: For the first time in weeks, absolutely nothing. I might wash my car.

We are so thankful they got accepted. One of the cats is my foster cat and she's had to live in a big dog cage for months while we've been trying to find her a home.

Cats that are born with leukemia don't live very long, generally, and while I'll miss her terribly, I'm overjoyed that she will have such a nice place with caring people for the rest of the time she has.

Totally worth the 4 hour drive.

1. Fighting boys... Lawd the fights I'd get into and then get threatened with broken bottles and knives. lol

2. I was a young kid, but I used to fly to Chicago alone to see my Dad alot. The "stewardesses" were really nice to me.

3. Just off the top of my head, traffic. Everytime I leave the house, I only get a block before I start cussing at the idiots on the road.

4. Very careful planning if they're not in the state of Texas or Louisiana. If I'm going anywhere in the state like FW, Austin, S.A., or even Corpus, I'll pick up and go in a heartbeat.

5. Move back into my bedroom after my bathroom remodel, lunch w/friends, workout w/my trainer, and basically relax.

Even now, some men say the looks I give them are knocked the blankety-blank out worthy.

I just say, when I get up, it's on... :laugh2:

bbgun has exited the building...

1. What activity can you not believe you survived in your childhood?

Too many to list. Anything from cliff jumping to my early driving habits could have easily landed me in the grave.

2. What was your first airplane ride like?

Pretty cool from what I remember...I was 5, and my dad was being stationed at the Pentagon after years of being at Pendleton. Cross country on American Airlines...I remember being given a pin with wings on it.

3. At this moment what is it that you most dislike?

My decisions during college.

4. Are your travel decisions based more on feelings of a moment or careful planning?

I'm very spontaneous, but my wife takes all the fun out of it for me by over-planning everything well in advance. I have itineraries for my itineraries.

5. What's on deck for the weekend?

A little bit of relaxations before spending the next two weeks getting ready to move back up north.

1. Talking to strangers.

2. Bumpy little cessna over Hershey Park

3. The current climate of American society.

4. Careful planning.

5. I don't know. I might after a 2 O'clock meeting, but hopefully not work.

1. What activity can you not believe you survived in your childhood?

Had a light pole in front of our house in Houston. Would climb up it and hang upside down by the legs right over the street, then grab the vertical part of the pole by the arms and flip over, grabbing the pole, then climb down. Man. Can't believe I never fell and cracked my skull open on the asphalt!

2. What was your first airplane ride like?

Thrilling!

3. At this moment what is it that you most dislike?

Having to do my tax return.

4. Are your travel decisions based more on feelings of a moment or careful planning?

Mostly feelings of a moment and impulse. Did a lot of business travel in years past that was careful planning of course, though.

5. What's on deck for the weekend?

Joshua Bell concert at the Strathmore here tonight. Church. Watch a lot of sports, drink a little beer.

1. What activity can you not believe you survived in your childhood?

Playing outside. In today's day and age, with kids getting snatched up, it's a wonder I never "had a stranger approach."

2. What was your first airplane ride like?

I don't remember, I was an infant.

3. At this moment what is it that you most dislike?

The fact that my driver's side mirror is broken on my car, effectively preventing me from selling/trading it and getting my new car.

4. Are your travel decisions based more on feelings of a moment or careful planning?

Extremely careful planning.

5. What's on deck for the weekend?

Law school prom on Saturday, drink chocolate milk.

Drinking chocolate milk is a weekend to-do item?

1. What activity can you not believe you survived in your childhood?
Running and jumping off the roofs of houses. No way in hell would I do that now!

2. What was your first airplane ride like?
I was able to get a ride on a military C-131 aircraft when I was probably 12 or so. Yeah, kind of a late age for my first time. I just stared out the window the entire time. It was great.

3. At this moment what is it that you most dislike?
That I haven't had enough money lately to buy ingredients for brewing beer.

4. Are your travel decisions based more on feelings of a moment or careful planning?
Planning, usually.

5. What's on deck for the weekend?
Yard work, a car show with my son (who absolutely loves anything on wheels), change the front brake pads on my car.

1. What activity can you not believe you survived in your childhood?

Swimming across the Ohio River and back at age 12. 20 years later and still haven't told my parents

2. What was your first airplane ride like?

Great. Loved every minute. Short flight from Charleston WV to Atlanta.

3. At this moment what is it that you most dislike?

The fact that I am sitting at work on a midnight shift on my day off, because of a lazy, no good, who decided to call off at the last minute.

4. Are your travel decisions based more on feelings of a moment or careful planning?

A little of both.

5. What's on deck for the weekend?

Stuck at work all weekend. Missing out on a mountain bike race and the local dirt track races.

I kind of thought so. I hadn't seen bbgun in a long while. Too bad. He was humorous. Did he get banned or did he leave on his own?
