You all know how I do my mocks by now. In this mock draft, I traded the 24th pick to the Lions for the 32nd pick (which they got with the Stafford trade), 66th (3rd), 177 (5th), and 181 (6th) picks.

32: Zion Johnson G Boston College 6'3" and 312 lbs

We got rid of Connor Williams (and rightly so) as his contract expired. Zion Johnson would be a massive upgrade. Link: https://www.nfl.com/prospects/zion-johnson/32004a4f-4878-9880-ba7d-3f2f57808705
"Shines as double-team blocker with technical savvy, Natural pop in phone-pole punch, and Protection benefitted from tackle experience in 2020"

56: Kingsley Enagbare DE South Carolina 6'4" and 258 lbs

Gregory is gone, and we got Fowler. That said, I do not think this is sufficient. Meet Kingsley Enagbare. Quick pass rusher, and he'd be a nice replacement to Gregory. He's also quite strong. He's someone I think Quinn could turn into an absolute QB killer.

66: Jalen Tolbert WR South Alabama 6'1" and 194 lbs

Coop is gone. Meet Tolbert. Great at route running, fights well through grabby coverage, and has natural tracking ability thanks to also being a HS baseball player. He'd be a nice replacement for Coop.

88: Kellen Diesch T Arizona State 6'7" and 301 lbs

Incredibly good in run blocking, and he would be a nice player to rotate with Steele as needed or to substitute when Tyron misses games. Additionally, he's a player that I think that the coaches could turn into quite the replacement when Tyron does depart this team.

129: Cordale Flott CB LSU 6'0" and 175 lbs

Looks like a good tackler, and this is someone to help with DB depth with quality play. I like what I see on his highlights, and he's a player that is quick. He's not a day 1 starter, but he is a good depth player, and he's someone that has the capacity to be developed into an outside starter.

155: Grant Calcaterra TE SMU 6'5" and 247 lbs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtuhZYMwInc

Reliable pass catcher who would make a good safety blanket when needed.

167: Noah Eliss DT Idaho 6'4" and 359 lbs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVr3KcMVFAw&t=26s

Large DT who can play 1T and is a run stopper. He's a sleeper in this draft imo because he did not go to a big school and is a lot quicker than one would expect at his size. Here's this: https://thedraftnetwork.com/articles/noah-elliss-nfl-draft-2022-profile-background with more intel and Twitter clips showing his power.

176: Sterling Weatherford S Miami (Ohio) 6'4" and 215 lbs

Small school safety who is an excellent hitter and has good anticipation. Here's this: https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/sterling-weatherford. He's also a good run stopper as well as a pass stopper at S.

177: Pierre Strong Jr RB South Dakota State 5'11" and 207 lbs:

Depth at RB and could be good to get as Pollard's contract expires at the end of this season.

178: Micah McFadden LB Indiana 6'1" and 240 lbs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UABNQrPLvGI

Quietly a good LBer who would be great depth. He's especially good against misdirections and screens Here's this: https://www.nfl.com/prospects/micah-mcfadden/32004d43-4618-9074-1d3b-5835bc5ff315

181: Eyioma Uwazurike DE Iowa State 6'6" and 316 lbs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6be477T2s8

Has the potential to be a nice 3T DT who has good pass rush skills. See: https://www.nfl.com/prospects/eyioma-uwazurike/32005557-4118-9231-ead9-e9cc16e8088b

193: Jaivon Heiligh WR 6'1" and 200 lbs.

Would be nice depth at WR. He's a natural catcher with good long speed.

What say you all? The next post will be a condensed option.

Condensed mock draft:

I think Zion starts and everyone else we hope develops.

Also really like Kellen Diesch from Byron Nelson High School in Trophy Club, Texas

Like the P.Strong pick., a good career, productive
Out of same school as philly TE Dallas Goedert

YEs, and he's a solid back.

I think Kingsley would also be a day 1 starter. Jalen would be a good replacement to Coop imo, and Diesch would be a nice starter when Tyron is out.

I also think Calcaterra would be a nice replacement when Schultz departs. Eliss would be a great run stopper, which we need.

So much quality depth at OL and WR, makes me wonder if they will go defense if the right guy is there and go OL and WR later

They might, but I think Zion in round one would be spectacular. I think he instantly locks down the LG spot.

Very realistic mock other than Tolbert in the 3rd. Don’t think he’ll be available by then. There are other good options tho. Good spot for a WR

There would probably be others I'd want if he's not there, but, if he's there, we should take him. Imo, he's an instant replacement for Coop.

Thinking we need to go WR in the 1st or 2nd. I know the WR class looks deep but the talent will go quick with so many teams desperate for a WR.

Not so sure about that. There are some sleeper WRs like Kevin Austin. Plus, if we get lucky, we can get Jalen or more good WRs in round 3. I think we need to address the trenches in rounds 1 and 2, which is why I went online first and Dline second. Dline, especially DE, looks very good for the taking in round 2.

I hope your right and have to admit I only follow what the draft experts post but I’m guessing about 12 to 15 come off the board by 88. Think we will have to trade up like you did in the mock to secure one that can be productive this year.

You mean trade back? Cuz we need more picks.

The only problem with the TE from SMU is that he almost quit football because of concussions. Sat out 2020 because of concussions and then transferred to SMU for 2021 season.

Played well, but a big medical risk in my opinion.

I did see that, and it's probably why he's considered a 5th round pick. That said, if he can stay healthy, I like his potential. I don't think he'd start right away, so there's that. I think he has the makings of a tight end who is a good safety blanket option.

with so many people worrying about this and that or if the cowboys are gonna draft this player or that player better to concern yourself your gonna have enough food to eat or if the gas will be in short supply and of all things your children or grand children don't worry the billionaires that own teams are not gonna worry about you

Not wrong. I definitely understand your point. However, this is something that is fun to do. It's fun to see what possibilities there are and what we would do if we were in the position to make the draft picks. I know Jerry probably won't read this. I know he likely will take maybe one, at best, of the players I mentioned here. This is just something that I find fun to do, just as I find it fun to wear my horse costume and walk around conventions wearing it.
