You know the usual ways by now. This time, there are no trades.

24: Tyler Linderbaum C/G Iowa 6'2" and 296

https://www.nfl.com/prospects/tyler-linderbaum/32004c49-4e17-7976-f831-6fbe52def617

  • Loves to compete and brings it to opponents.
  • Wrestling background evident in core strength and leverage.
  • Gets snap hand where it needs to go quickly.
  • Hands, hips and feet are harmonious.
  • Elite snap quickness creates A+ win rate in positioning phase.
Can either start at LG or in place of Biadasz at C. Looks to be an excellent blocker, especially at pass blocking.

56: Kingsley Enagbare DE South Carolina 6'4" and 258 lbs

https://www.nfl.com/prospects/kingsley-enagbare/3200454e-4104-0912-811c-67db1204d680

  • Above-average length and upper-body power.
  • Punches with good knockback pop.
  • Powerful slap to flip and clear blocker's edge at point of attack.

88: Darrian Beavers LB Cincinnati 6'4" and 237 lbs

https://www.nfl.com/prospects/darrian-beavers/32004245-4179-4435-46df-ffda0df989a5

"Inside linebacker with throwback size but also throwback athleticism that fails to fit cleanly into today's brand of football. Beavers is a phone-booth linebacker who is well-schooled in taking on and slipping blocks between the tackles but can be overwhelmed by athletic opponents when forced to move and play in space. He plays too stiff-legged and with a lack of desired agility, which gets him tangled up in traffic more than teams might like. He'll need to lean into a role as a thumper to make a team, which will require improvement in consistently attacking and discarding blockers. Beavers has a challenging road ahead of him but his background as a core special-teamer helps."

129: Zach Tom T Wake Forest 6'4" and 304 lbs (LT)

https://www.nfl.com/prospects/zach-tom/3200544f-4d13-1680-d84b-a813971a836d

Played last 2 seasons at LT. Could make a good depth player when Tyron is out o action

155: Noah Elliss DT Idaho DT 6'4" and 346 lbs

https://www.nfl.com/prospects/noah-elliss/3200454c-4c76-1367-9665-fc061bf42c99

"Imposing space-eater with flashes of physical dominance against a level of competition that hasn't fully tested him. Elliss was a heralded prospect out of high school and began his career at Mississippi State before transferring to Idaho, where his dad (former Detroit Lion Luther Elliss) coached him up on the defensive line. He has the physical tools and power to make a living as a two-gapping, odd-front nose guard but will need to improve his technique and footwork to become a true tree stump in the middle against the run. Ellis has Day 3 potential with starting upside, but weight management will be very important for him.:

167: Sterling Weatherford S Miami Ohio 6'4" and 215 lbs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZ8hvke1VL0

https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/sterling-weatherford

"Weatherford has tremendous size and stature for playing as a zone coverage defender on the second level and I think that’s where he will shine most in the NFL despite the fact that he played in the high post frequently at Miami-Ohio and was given a lot of range on the back end."

176: Pierre Strong Jr. RB San Jose State 5'11" and 207 lbs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYnAkfAM6HM

https://www.nfl.com/prospects/pierre-strong/32005354-5265-8099-4e5a-fedfdfa80694

"Instinctive running back with NFL traits and talent to find a home as a committee back or an eventual RB1. Hyper-focused vision provides him a variety of cut options and rush paths but also causes him to overthink his approach at times. Strong is more reactive than manipulative but is quite impressive with his spatial awareness and ability to slalom around bodies on a smooth, linear pathway without slowing his roll. He struggles when forced to slow his feet and make early cuts. He needs a north/south run scheme where he can square his pads and find his rhythm quickly. Strong lacks third-down value at this time, but has shown enough to believe it could be in his future."

178: Micah McFadden LB Indiana 6'1" and 240 lbs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dSKR0kVGrk

https://www.nfl.com/prospects/micah-mcfadden/32004d43-4618-9074-1d3b-5835bc5ff315

"Undersized inside linebacker with adequate diagnose quickness and downhill trigger. His passivity and indecisiveness against Iowa and Ohio State, in particular, seemed out of place relative to the rest of his tape. He's very average in the athleticism and speed departments but is well-prepared and exploits soft spots in blocking schemes to make impact tackles behind the line of scrimmage. He's unable to challenge blocks and constrict gaps as a thumper, but he's tough. McFadden has Day 3 value as a backup inside linebacker with core special teams potential."

193: Marquan McCall DT Kentucky 6'3" and 342 lbs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJdO6X52WK8

https://www.nfl.com/prospects/marquan-mccall/32004d43-4307-9416-c159-672b80dc370d
  • Adequate snap quickness.
  • Fires into A-gaps and pushes into the backfield.
  • Occupies blocks with his girth and lower-body anchor.
  • Takes effort and double teams to get him moved.

My thoughts-

Both Enagbare and Beavers lack the athleticism to be impact players at their positions in the NFL. A round early on both imo

I’m fine with both Linderbaum and Tom as prospects. However, in drafting both I’m not sure you’ve made significant impact on either LG or Swing OT. Both best fit at C.

Is Elliss really even an upgrade to Bohanan? Wouldn’t waste that pick on a small school 1 dimensional NT.

I like what I see with Enagbare and Beavers, especially Beavers. I think he's got good speed, and I think he's good at separating the ball. Plus, he's good in coverage, from what I could see. I'd take either Rainmann, but got bored taking him in consecutive mock drafts, same goes to Dietsch Arizona State. I liked what I saw with Elliss as well, but I could see that. I wanted to try to get extra 1 DT players to beef up that spot.

i'd be happy with that.
linderbaum fixes our oline day1.
i like kingsley...love his size.
noah ellis is a favorite.
big fan of tom...love that versatility...smart player.
pierre strong is one of my favorite backs.
love those 2 LBs.
good mockin'.

Like I said, like what I see with Kingsley. I love how quick he is. As for Pierre, I think he replaces the 3rd back spot and could push for the 2nd spot.

I like McFadden late 5.

The rest of the draft is meh to me.
296 Center I wish I had seen against better competition because although form is great ---- still undersized.
The problem we had with CWill was that he was blown out by big strong DT's and now you want your starting #1 pick to move one of your starters over so neither of them can block him.

This is why I don't think he got a 30 visit, but that is just speculation. Much rather have Zion, Green, or JDavis in one.

I haven't done any real tape on the rest of them, just clips, but nothing stood out for me.

I wanted them, but the simulator had them all taken. So, my 24 pick was my next best choice.

the fact there is radio silence connecting us to linderbaum could easily mean he's our guy.
there was nothing connecting us to lamb.
no pre draft buzz.
there was nothing connecting us to parsons.
no pre draft buzz.
there is nothing connecting us to linderbaum.
no pre draft buzz.
something to consider.

Not sure. Either way, with Davis, Zion, Green, Raimann, and Green off the board at 24 on the simulator I was using, Linderbaum was my best choice there. He's an interior lineman, and he was ranked high. I like what I saw in videos and think he could also be very good in the ground game, which we need to get back to.

When was the last time we drafted an eminently gettable player that wasnt on our 30 Visits?

I disagree. The front office loved Lamb but thought he would have been drafted earlier. Broaddus and Bucky both said that Parsons was on the Cowboys radar. Fans and talking heads just thought he was a Jaylon clone for some reason. Linderbaum reminds me of Slater in last year’s draft. The Cowboys had no real interest in him but fans/talking heads liked him. Hopefully this time we draft Linderbaum if we get the chance.

My least favorite: team has been linked to taking a Guard, WR and TE, you didn’t address any of these needs

Linderbaum can play G I think as can Tom. In this one, I mainly tried to focus on the trenches. I'll try to do another one tonight that goes more favourably
I suppose the concern with Linderbaum playing Guard, is that part of the reason for urgently needing to upgrade at LG, will hopefully aid in Biadasz....I'm not saying Badass is anything special, but being next to the King of Holding wasn't great for anyone's development....I'd worry that a Badass/Linderbaum combo is a pass rusher OC's dream.
