Say Again?

Cowboys linebacker Bradie James was the guinea pig on Saturday night. He wore the earphone in his helmet to listen to Cowboys defensive coordinator Brian Stewart. So far call it a work in progress.

"He's got to remember to hit the button (so James can hear him)," James said. "He gets so excited, and he forgets to hit the button and then he remembers and I hear about half the call."

In the offseason, the NFL approved a rule that allows defenses to have one defender on the field to have a headphone in his helmet.

In the first game, James quickly noticed one area that will need to be corrected. Immediately.

"We have to get back to the huddle," James said.

Because defensive backs often change in between snaps, they'll need to come onto the field even quicker so James can relay the call to his teammates.

Yep, he's the big dog on the defense. Just like Ray Lewis and Urlacher are for their teams.

No I was agreeing with you, B. James earned the right because the guy plays the position well and is a high character player. Everyone respects him on the defense.

Yeah, it's BRADY'S defense... on first and second down.

Even then I wouldn't really call it his defense. When he can cover at a decent level, then he can call it his defense.

Guess that's the same team where it's Whitten's offense.

This is where I go against the "new" when it comes to Zach. I like him the way he is. For Zach let him do it like he always has.

The Force is strong with this one.

I vote for micing up Bobby, poor Bobby.

Why is Brian Stewart calling the plays? I thought when Wade came in last year he said that he would and that he regretted letting someone else call defensive plays when he was head coach in the past.

I'm sure Wade has input on the calls as both coordinators are down on the field with him

Is it just me or do James,Burnett and Carpenter seem to be a little light from the waist up for ILB?
