Justin Rogers leaves field

Not sure what happened but it appears he is going back to be evaluated.

T.O can't be covered

Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens is toasting anyone and everyone that lines up against him. Whether it's a double move or a go route, he is in a gear in which no other defensive back can handle.

Owens said he would get the best of Adams Jones on most days and today appears to be one of those days. Owens' burst is noticeable.

Oh......CB Terence Newman just leveled RB Keon Lattimore after a drop in 7-on-7. Newman could be a little frustrated after his one-on-one performance.

7-on-7 nuggets

Now we're in 7-on-7 drills....First play, a Tony Romo pass pops off the hands of Roy Williams and into Terrell Owens' hands for a completion. ...

* Owens is the player of the day so far..He just left rookie CB Mike Jenkins and Patrick Watkins for a deep post touchdown from Tony Romo.

* Long pass completion to Felix Jones, man he can catch.

* TE Martellus Bennett makes nice adjustment on the ball for a good completion from Brad "Check Down" Johnson.

* Pass to Tashard Choice. Watch him, kid can bounce when he gets the ball.

Wow, maybe Felix Jones is going to be used more as a receiver. I remember Westbrook early in his career made his mark more as a receiver out of the backfield. Maybe that can be Jones?

DMN's report said he flanked out and "streaked" down the field. Love it...few LBs would be able to stay with him...few safties either.

With the addition of Felix and barring injury, this offense should be delicious to watch.

I've heard/read more than one comparison of Jones to Westbrook. That'd be ok with me.

the team views jones as similar to Charlie Garner. I have never heard anyone from the cowboys scouting or coaching staff refer to him as a westbrook type.

The additions of Jones, Choice, and Bennett all excite me quite a bit in terms of the dynamics they might be able to add to our passing attack.

Sucks that Justin Rogers went down today with an injury....

Im pulling for him because I know his brother. His brother Jacob plays for the basketball team at Texas A&M University at Commerce(Same school I go to). I play basketball with Jacob pretty regularly and have gotten to know him a little bit.

Justin Rogers came up to the rec center a while back and i got a chance to meet him, and play a little basketball with him. He was a real nice guy.

Anyway, I hope its not a serious injury, He is pretty good on special teams

Apparently, it wasn't serious or anything.

Notes: The Cowboys signed WR Todd Lowber. Owner Jerry Jones had
said after Terry Glenn was waived Friday that the team needed
another receiver in camp. ... LB Justin Rogers left practice Sunday
because of illness. Phillips said Rogers has been bothered by a
virus for a couple of days.

A virus with an upset stomach probably involved doesn't mix well in TC practices. Ha.

Can you imagine him not practicing with BP as HC with a virus? :laugh2:

JR: Coach, I feel ill. I've got an upset stomach.
BP: You have a virus? What's that? You can't make the team in the trainers' room, son. Get back out there and run 100 windsprints.
