Tunnel Vision?

One of the great joys of Monday is sitting in the armchair and pointing out all of the things the Cowboys, or any other team, could have done differently that would have affected the end result in such-and-such team's favor.

Watching the final two minutes of the Cowboys-Steelers game there are two painfully obvious items that pop up:

No. 1: Jason Witten fell on the sword a bit too much.

On Tony Romo's interception to DeShea Townsend, Witten said he slipped and that it wasn't on Romo. The replay suggests that Romo's pass was so high that it would not have mattered if Witten had slipped. Witten barely slipped on the route, too.

No. 2: Patrick Crayton was wide, wide, wide open for a huge gain with 1:10 remaining in the game.

The Cowboys were trailing 20-13, and Crayton was lined up in the slot at the Cowboys' 28. The replays show Romo had plenty of time, and that safety Troy Polamalu had cheted up and let Crayton run free up the right seam. But Romo didn't see him, and his pass attempt for running back Tashard Choice was incomplete.

Hm.. Maybe Patrick doesn't disappear during games, maybe Romo just ignores him. Ironic though when he could have made the shorter pass to Bennett earlier he opted for the deeper pass then.

Well they just showed the play again on NFL Live and Witten barely slip if any and the pass was to high. Tony missng Crayton is disheartening.

It would have been a shorter pass, but Bennett was picking up huge yardage. I tend to agree, this was probably the worst game I've even seen Tony play -- really inaccurate, not finding the proper receivers, careless with the ball, etc.

Doesn't everyone know that we only have TWO people that are even capable of catching the ball, Witten, and TO. At least that what it seems like, Heck I knew who he was going to, and they dont think Pitt didnt?
