Bill duped us, but it's all good

Big Bill is baaaaack.

OK, that's good. I think.

But now we know why he needed "more time" to decide on his coaching future after the Cowboys' final game.

More time meant more money.

Like some $6.5 million more if Parcells coaches here through the '07 season.

Just think what it might have been if the Cowboys had actually made the playoffs instead of collapsing down the season's stretch.

But, while feeling duped (I actually believed Parcells needed the time because he was mentally drained), this is a good deal by Jerry Jones. At least it is if it guarantees that Parcells will be here two more years.

We don't know that yet, but this is still better than gambling on Jerry going through the process of attempting to hire a new coach in this off-season.

Many e-mailers want Bill gone. I hear from you every day. But I still say to be careful what you wish for in this case.

They, the reporters, should NEVER have been duped...and if the were it was by their own lack of patience.

They had to jump on a story that was not there and go on and on.

I know . . .

How could THEY be duped, when it was so obvious that he had no intention of retiring . . .

I see the word you are lacking...and so did they was patience.

It was not even a week later than the last game and we had our answer.

But instead of waiting to see what was going on....they were going bananas speculating everything under the sun, talking crap about him and blah blah blah.

If they were duped, it was their own fault and because of being impatient.

I said it before the extension was announced...if you think Jerry didn't have a good idea what was going on then you were not thinking.

Bill does not come to work every day, with Jerry there, and Jerry not have a feeling one way or the other.

Their own impatience made some of them, the reporters, look stupid.

ALways love to see mediots looking like the idiots they mostly are. Anyone watching JJ would have seen that he was way too calm to be worried about it; and the Ranch was pretty quiet- THEY would have figured it out quickly if BP was going to quit.

Parcells will complete the mission this year....SB 41 is all that's on his mind.

Dream on. We have 10 games against playoff teams next year. When Bledsoe wins a superbowl himself or even makes the playoffs again, he may have a point, but right now, he's got no room to talk about anybody.

The problem is they don't care if they look stupid. They have a job and its to fill segments/pages or websites or whatever. The more attention they get, good or bad, the better they look because people are talking about them and that means they are probably reading what they wrote.
The sad thing is you can fill a piece of space with whatever you want no matter how it comes across. Half the time when reporters/writers are filling this space they have the midset to actually come across as biased in hopes that we get sucked in to the game of debate. Which in turn, gets us to keep going back and reading their crap.

Our schedule next year is a cake walk compared to this years.
Have you even looked at it?
