Defense didn’t really prevail persay. As the commenter above me stated, the QB didn’t know what he was doing and they simply began to implode. That or the Texans HC talked into his helmet before the mic cut off and said “enough fun for today. Remember we’re trying to tank” and they “failed” the conversion. There’s nothing to celebrate here.

.....to me, that was huge. Honestly, I marked Dallas off right there. I thought for sure we lost the game.

NOPE>>> Defense prevailed. I sat there Stunned, that Lovie went for it, instead of FG.

This the rest is history...

Need to get NT with Hankins injury.

Dlaw was phenomenal on that 3rd down stop...no other way to describe it.

The LBs were in the right spot on 4th.

They earned that atop and dak and the offense made the most of it

Even if they kick the FG they lose.

It just wouldn't have been a 98 yard TD, more like 75

Like I said in another thread, the Texans going for the win there was smart on their behalf. If they kicked the field goal they would have still lost with a TD and given Dallas over 20 yards of field position after the kickoff. They were looking for a defensive stop and didn't think Dallas would drive 98 yards. At worst it was a play for overtime.

Defense and offense both came up clutch when it mattered the most. Thats the difference between this teams of the past.

The Turpin fumble in my opinion changed the whole game. There is no drama if this doesn’t happen. But you’re right about the goal line stand.

Why do you even watch football? Your posts are nothing but negative garbage. Even in wins, you spew end of the world garbage. Just stop watching. Sports is entertainment and not serious. You aren't being entertained. Not sure why you watch.

Complementary football wins games. This was a classic example today of the defense lifting up the offense for one last drive and in the end both sides came through.

But because it was against a one win Houston team, it's not aesthetically pleasing enough for many fans and I totally understand that.

This had to be the worst game of the season for the defense, but they made the stop at the end to get the offense the ball back and give us a chance.

Lovie going for made perfect sense. All a FG does is make Dallas have to score a TD to win. And they would have 23 yards less to do it. I’d go for it there.

The Cowboys going for it after the fumble recovery was more questionable, but I didn’t have great heartburn over it. It was highly unlikely the Texans would drive 98 yards; thought it more likely we would end up with the ball near mid-field. I did have heartburn not running some kind of mis-direction play or QB rollout. The rollout produced positive yards every time it was run.

I agree. Had they got the TD it was really game over
