Big change for The Big Dog today. I am NOT eating the usual breakfast of champions. Instead I am skipping breakfast so I will be more hungry for the big feast awaiting me later. The usual Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings.

I plan on watching football and hitting the leftovers all day!

First year doing the traditional turkey in a while….We’ve been on a Prime Rib kick for a while. All the fixings…and homemade bourbon pumpkin bars for dessert

Turkey and dressing and an assortment of pies. I always smoke a few salmon for Thanksgiving too.

happy thanksgiving to my fanzone friends and the cowboys fans everywhere.

on the menu, we go overboard a bit for thanksgiving....its always at my house
all the kids are home and family coming to town, so will be a big gathering...
on the menu?
start the day with a couple of shots of tequila (beer, wine, burbon, whiskey available to your liking)
of course Turkey
whole Duck breast
whole chicken as well
all the sides and fixin's (rice pilaf with candied orange peel and raisins &cranberry with saffron, mac and cheese, regular and sweet mashed potatos, sweet potato and squash dish, cranberry sauce etc. )
about 6 different kinds of deserts and I make apple strudel which we never have any left overs of

and then eat until you get into food coma...literally
watch the game with the whole family, this year we should beat the craap out of the giants

oh, we donate 20 turkeys to all the local food kitchens and help them prep for today during the week. happy thanksgiving everyone

Tradition remains in tact here. Turkey on the smoker, with all the fixings, family time, Lions, eating, and capping off the afternoon with some Cowboys football! Have a blessed thanksgiving everyone!

All my extended family gets together for Thanksgiving. Usually about 30 people!! Everyone brings something. Appetizers include deviled eggs, cheese and crackers, and cocktail shrimp. Usually we have turkey, chicken, dressing, potatoes, pasta with marinara, green beans, mac n cheese, ham, eggplant casserole, italian sausage, salad, and rolls. For dessert, I made a cheesecake, and others bring banana pudding, assorted pies, cakes and cookies. I think I just gained 10 pounds listing all the food we're having. LOL
