It's probably done in the early to mid eighties. Love story about two people who fall in love as angels but then are sent down to be born separately. They cut a deal so that they'll be born on the same continent or something like that, and they feel their love is so strong that they'll find each other no matter what.
They have X years to find each other and if they don't, they lose their souls or they'll never find their true love after that day.
She's born to a very wealthy family, he's born to the opposite end of the spectrum.
He's a singer? Songwriter? A bridge, not a real one, but the kind in a song or a symbolic bridge is featured at some point in the movie.
Any help on this?
