Northwestern:29 NFL teams were represented at the Northwestern pro day which also hosted over 30 local players from smaller schools including Southern Illinois CB Korey Lindsey, who pulled a hamstring on his second 40-yard dash and wasn't able to finish the workout, but did clock a 4.51 time on his first run. NU DT Corbin Bryant ran in the 5.1 second range at the 40, while unheralded North Central LB Matt Wenger ran a 4.58 40 at 233 pounds.
Troy:
Decent turnout at the Troy workout where 17 teams were represented. Running on a fast track at Troy, WR Jerrel Jernigan improved on his somewhat disappointing (for him) 4.46 time by running in the low-to-mid 4.3 range. Fellow WR Jason Bruce also reportedly ran well, posting a 40 clocking in the mid-4.3 range, while RB DuJaun Harris reportedly ran just under 4.4 seconds. At the same time, tweener DE Mario Addison ran a sub-4.6 40 and posted 17 reps in the BP. A couple of local guy from other schools ran very well at the Troy workout. West Alabama WR Randy Lowery (6-2, 209), a second team Gulf Coast Conference receiver, ran under 4.4 seconds in the 40 and posted a 38" VL. At the same time, Jacksonville State CB T.J. Heath (6-1, 179), also reportedly ran just under 4.4 seconds over 40 yards.
